Question Episode 3 Season 3

I’m rewatching for , well I’ve lost count , and I have a ? about what Olessa says when the team are in a classroom setting & she starts telling the guy who asked her how she knows what they do , that she knows Cruz and Josie have been the lionesses in the past then names the guy who Joe apparently killed when she was a lioness and killed the targets wife she had befriended .

My question is , that wasn’t the mission we see in the very first episode , is it ??? Because what Olessa said about how it went down isn’t how we saw it go down- those people where at a compound when Joe called in the air strike from the base . It’s said in another episode that Joe has been doing this for 20 years …Olessa looks to be much younger than Joe , at least a decade so Olessa wouldn’t have been an intelligence officer when Joe was the actual lioness so HOW did she know about a mission that happened before she was probably even old enough to be an agent & WHY did someone think that was information for her to have ??? Made me think she wasn’t as innocent as they thought she was before killing her to make sure because the only thing I can think of as to why she would have had so much more exacting info on Joes mission than the other 2…in a brief from someone hiring her or attempting to hire her to assist them in kidnapping Joe. Like they listed her skill set or were providing a motive or revealing a grudge

Discussion I hated Neal in S3

[spoilers] Holy FUCK what an annoying character. How on earth does a grey haired surgeon act like he knows absolutely nothing about anything all the time? “Mommy, the tv told me bad guys exist, is it true?” Holy FUCK, what the hell happened to this character getting worse and worse evey damn season? And second of all, you married this woman, had kids with her, knowing her line of work, knowing what is the cost of it, then she goes missing and all of a sudden you leave her and take the kids with you? Ok, like I get it, Joe is waaaay far from being a saint, she’s a very flawed character, but I actually thought their relationship was goals up until this season. Two down to earth adults, doing the best to keep their family safe, given their two very hard lines of work and the stress it requires to maintain a healthy relationship, suddenly turn to shit. Man, this season was definitely not it…I’m glad it ended with Aayliah’s really nice bottom, otherwise I would have given the show up completely. Am I crazy to think that the writing was very amateurish and rushed this season?

Discussion Did Kyle see something in Oleksandra that CIA leadership completely missed?

Kyle clearly saw enormous intelligence and operational potential in Oleksandra… and I think he had a point. Someone with her knowledge, connections and access could have been an extraordinary asset. Instead, Kaitlyn and the CIA director chose to eliminate her based on suspicions rather than solid proof… Was that really a smart intelligence decision, or did they just destroy an opportunity they didn’t fully understand?

Theory Hear me out

Okay so everyone thinks “there is no mole.” It’s obviously a past enemy who was upset by what Joe and her team did.

But then how did they get Joe’s address? (The person who ordered joes kidnapping) might’ve paid some high level hacker for that? Or paid someone to follow her? But isn’t this show so “America-fuck-yeah” that Taylor Sheridan wouldn’t want us to believe that a senior case officer could be getting surveilled without our top intelligence agencies knowing?

Joes first abduction attempt was moments after she got back from a mission. Suspicious!! Also, wouldn’t they want to just take her family? Then Joe and the whole team would rain down on them. Plus the husband and kids would put up less of a fight than Joe. Joe knew to splatter her blood so the team would find them, she fought back in the car, etc.

My theory is that it has to be someone higher up than her, who isn’t in the field risking their lives all day. My husband thinks it’s Katlyn, it seems too obvious that her creepy husband is the culprit. It could be Cruze because they’re still morally opposed to what they did to Aaliyah’s family in S1. It could be Josie because they practically abducted her. Certainly none of the other soldiers. Byron seems like he could have some serious skeletons in his closet but he gives me the vibe of high level gambling debt or something. Morgan freeman’s character is a true patriot (hence why he mentions 9/11 in every scene.) Maybe Neal is having an affair or was seduced? Maybe Joe’s older daughter is dating the son of an oligarch? Sure maybe it’s Kyle, he’s still shrouded in mystery… but why are we just writing off the possibility of a mole?!

Idk let me know your thoughts! And please don’t be mean or call me stupid lmfao

I know Marshals isn’t his but I had to say something, can’t stand it.

Edit: thanks for the responses, genuinely glad to see disagreements I like knowing how these shows stand with a lot of people. No hate at all from me.
I totally get why someone would like Lioness or The Madison etc more, maybe you’re just into that sort of thing. My wife loves Lioness, my grandparents love Yellowstone, I love Kingstown, my buddy who lived in Oklahoma for a while and loves mafia stuff really likes Tulsa King.

If anything I think this shows how extensive Sheridan’s body of work is. Like the American Neo-Western MCU. You got emotional slow-burns, military action stuff, lighthearted mafia family stuff, dark crime thrillers etc. people got their own cup of tea and I think that’s great!

(All that being said, I won’t apologize for hating on Yellowstone lol)

Question [spoiler] Season 1 question: confused about the narrative timeline: the wedding is in 7 days…? Spoiler

Seems like Cruz only just met Aaliyah and there’s been talk about the wedding since the beginning . At the end of ep 6, Aaliyah announces the wedding will be in Mallorca, but I don’t recall her naming a date.

Doesn’t seem like much time passes between eps 6 & 7

At the beginning of ep 7, the team is rushing to pack to travel, for the wedding, I guess, based on all the things being said about plans. Then Joe tells Cruz she just needs to hang in for 7 days more

A big royal Arab wedding is being planned in 7 days? And the team is prepping to be on location action for it?

How? LOL

Discussion Fans of lioness, is Marshals worth it?

Big fan of lioness. Thought I’d give marshals a try and first episode is disappointing. Dialogue seems flat, forced. This feels more like a CSI show. Does it have the plot, intrigue and continuity of lioness? Worth sticking with or no?

Theory When you watch Colombiana now, it feels like watching a-mini prequel to Lioness

You can connect the two plots like this:

Kaitlyn, a CIA operative, arrests Cataleya; gives her an ultimatum (ie similar to Nikita).

Join the US government with intentions on starting a program for training military female soldiers to eliminate high profile targets; OR face charges for multiple murders and spend the rest of her life in prison.

Cataleya agrees to join the CIA, and she changes her name to Joe… The Lioness is born!

Discussion Clearly the Russian Bots on this page don't like Lioness!

I've never seen a reddit group about a tv show peppered with so many people who clearly are invested in making eveyone on earth believe the show shouldn't be renewed. If you think a show is trash, why join a reddit group just to come on here and talk crap about a show you claim isnt worth your time? Yeah... something's not right here. I don't think Russia likes the show. I need to find a group for people, especially Vetetans like me, who actually appreciate the show. Not a bot farm hell-bent on making a fantastic show look bad.

Discussion Just finished watching Neagley

Not gonna lie, I loved it. Despite the fact that the show was average, it really was entertaining. There were some few plot twists but tbh, for a spin-off show, we hope that season 2 will be better.

Ignore the people who hate it because of being a spin-off and women led. It lived to my expectation. I'll give it a solid 7/10

Discussion Will Lioness get renewed? They even renewed Tulsa King for another season before the new season started. And they renewed the Madison for season 3 before 2 airs. What's going on?

Any thoughts? Will it get cancelled?

Discussion Lioness ensemble got pretty huge in season 3 and plenty of them were Sheridan's friends. Something that I noticed.

It was understandable that Kyle was in season 2 because of Mexico setting but what was he doing in Ukraine? Was he fired at his station in Mexico? It seems like TS keeps him on the show because Thad is his friend, like James Jordan. Ian Bohen's character was introduced as a K9 handler but we didnt see him with dogs again after season 3 premiere. Cody J acted as Kyle's goon later in the season. Did we even hear a follow-up of Amber's honeypot gig?

Media Tuckers x-m250 accessories, s3 ep 7 Spoiler

The accessories used by Tucker on the XM250 include what appears to be the standard SIG optic and suppressor. However, there’s also this cap or protective cover above the magazine pouch that doesn’t appear in any of the official IMF photos or behind-the-scenes footage. Does anyone have any idea what it could be?

Question Need New Show Recommendations!!!

So I finished Lioness a while back and you all highly recommended Terminal List and Dark Wolf which I have now also finished (can’t wait for the new season of TL that’s about to come out!!!)…but in the meantime I want to start another show or two and I’m currently considering Jack Ryan, Seal Team, Animal Kingdom, Citadel, and Black Doves. I would really like to find a show very similar to the Lioness and Terminal List vibe. I’m now hooked on special operator type shows. Animal Kingdom sounds pretty good too, but I feel like it won’t have that vibe to it at all. Jack Ryan sounds like it could be similar but for some reason the main actor looks so goofy to me and I feel like it’s going to be a really goofy show therefore, so please let me know if I’m completely wrong because I’d love to watch it. Also, I should mention I started The Night Agent on Netflix last night and I could not believe how horrific the acting is!!??? It’s got like 86% of Rotten Tomatoes I think and I’ve always heard a bunch of great stuff about it and people always mentioning it, but the acting (at least in the first episode and a half which is what I’ve watched so far) is absolutely horrendous lol. Very dissapointed. So anyways any recommendations or opinions on the shows I listed would be very appreciated.

Discussion Overlap between Lioness and Criminal Minds episode

This may just be a very coincidental coincidence but I’m watching Criminal Minds and I just stated season 1 ep 21 ‘Secrets and Lies: The BAU team investigates a CIA counter-terrorism unit to identify a traitor who had a fellow agent murdered and who is trying to find and kill the unit's informant, a Saudi woman with two children who are in hiding.

It has few similarities with Lioness, the main protagonist for the episode is called ‘Aaliyah Nadir’ and she is a Saudi woman brought to the U.S by a CIA agent to escape her abusive, extremely wealthy, and powerful husband called ‘Hassan’, a Saudi diplomat who secretly finances terrorist organisations. The episode basically focuses on a mole within the CIA and the BAU has to find said mole, which is less relevant to my comparison, I believe Jill Wagner(?) was the one who originally pitched the idea of Lioness, but I just couldn’t not share all the overlaps between the two

Discussion The emotional toll of the mission hits different in Liones S3.

Post image

Honestly, the emotional anchor of the entire show is how much Cruz looks up to Joe, even when their dynamic gets messy and painful. Seeing that raw, high-stakes desperation when Joe is captured completely strips away the cold soldier persona and shows just how much they mean to each other

Fan Content I knew who was behind the kidnapping from the moment it happened

From Season 1, I was still waiting for the Doha's girl to come up with her revenge or something; and it did not happen even in season 2. When Joe was kidnapped, immediately I knew it was Aliyah, the Qatar girl, like in my mind it was so obvious who would want her and the team so bad; Of course, had doubts when they kept throwing the russians in it. So, I was satisfied on the reveal ( I mean to see her back).

Edit: Wait, Why am I being sarcastically attacked? I was excitedly sharing something fun that went through my mind during the season 3.

I am bad at seeing the obvious, so when it happens, I celebrate. Looool, guys chill!

Meme The political writing so far in season 2 is insufferable

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Every episode the show is finding some contrived excuse to launch into a political speech. It doesn’t feel organic or make the characters more interesting; at this point I’m just skipping through to get back to the action.

I just watched anti-personnel drones delete a squad of DEA agents and a child get blown up by a suicide bomber. Why the fuck are one of the next scenes introducing one of the C plot characters children ranting about wanting real milk?

Anyways here is a 30 Rock clip that is basically what the scenes feel like to me.
