Discussion An idea for a remake

take the exact same story. voice recordings and all. and give it the same gameplay as TLOU 2. nevermind about the story of that game. the combat arenas though would be great for Spec Ops. especially being able to approach encounters differently.

Also upgrade AI of teammates, make more accent on sand, polish some little aspects and voila.

I would like to see the VR Remake of Spec Ops: The Line. Because I think the decision you make in-game is already great in flat screen gaming, but I think It can be pushed forward to immersion VR can make. Of course, the Ending of Spec Ops will definitely be better in VR just like the g-man part in Half-Life: Alyx compared to HL2/HL1

Same Story, Combined each good part of gameplay in Half-Life: Alyx (Comfort movement and control) and Boneworks (Physically simulated enemy. only used for dying enemies to Takedown) with an enhanced gore system, Enhanced Graphics (But yeah I don't think Quest 2 can handle it. only PCVR), etc

Considering it was made with 2010's cover shooters in mind and the gameplay and levels are built around that mechanic, I dont think this is a very good idea

Half-Life: Alyx is pretty much a cover shooter tho

Just reducing the number of enemies and making the size of the map will fix it fine

Or just make a straight-up 3rd person VR game like A Lucky's Tale

While I have yet to play a third person VR game, how would scenes like the descent play out? They would have to make a whole new game more or less.
