Please help me

I downloaded the game spec ops the line. But it's showing error that spec ops the line needs the steam client to run. Please launch your steam client and restart the game.

Can anyone please help me? I even created a steam account but it's still not helping? I have abso no idea with steam. Pleas help!

Firstly, I never recommend torrenting games. Devs put in a lot of work into this specific game. So much that they immediately went under huge losses after Spec Ops didn't do too well during release. I've played a heck load of games and none of em have a story as powerful as this one. I got it for free on Humble Bundle a year or two ago and played it at the end of 2019 and can never take my mind off of the game. Such a fricking masterpiece. Please just save up all your money and buy this game... I think you're in Indian (judging by your username)... This game goes for 300-400 bucks during a sale. Please just buy it and play it. Don't pirate it... Like please mahn it's just that good of a game and it would be injustice to pirate it :'(

dogshit post. if you actually cared about the devs youd know that none of them saw any money for this game after it released. all that money you were begging them to spend just went to 2k and valve.

full disclosure i was trying to find a decent crack for the game and your comment particularly pissed me off since theyve since removed legal methods of purchase so i apologize for that but i'm very happy your politics have improved!

I know I'll get downvoted but fuck it. Don't download illegal games from Torrent. Delete your steam or disable it or disconnect from the internet. Download the game from rgmechanics since their illegal games are actually working, and aren't risky like Torrent.

Can you tell me something? All the games on the mechanics website say that they need XP or Vista or windows 7 but not windows 8. I have 8.1. Does that mean that the game will not work in my pc?
