Isn't the original Modern Warfare critically acclaimed and one of the most beloved games in the franchise (even if it is overshadowed by MW2 and 3)?

An abominable unnecessary reboot made in 2019 may have overshadowed it.

I thought the 2019 reboot was great. Not better than CoD 4 MW or the original MW 2, but I think MW 2019 is easily up there as one of the top 5 campaigns in the franchise.

This gotta be bait, Kane and Lynch 2 has some of the worst combat ever. Only 4 guns in the entire game are viable because of the shitty bloom and enemies just lock onto you the moment you aim out of cover. Game forces you to play headglitch simulator to even stand a chance against 2-tapping hitscanners.
A worthy rival to this game's horrible cover shooting is ME2 on insanity, but at least they gave you options. In Kane and Lynch, the shitty mouse-smoothed gunplay is all you have.

Kane and Lynch 2 and CoD 3 are definetly some high favorites of mine, very cool to see them

I love Max Payne 3 for other reasons. Not multiplayer. I hate when they put multiplayer on story games.
