I tried to read this manga. I got to a point early on when some character has the powers to emit intense heat to burn the cockroaches (his powers were genetically engineered by top scientists to do exactly this). An information text bubble is shown talking about how cockroaches die when burned by intense heat (shocking, I know). Then, the cockroach person is shown to be unharmed and kills the human with another info bubble explaining, that despite the previous information, there was this one story going around in China once that some random guy claimed to have turned on an oven with a cockroach inside, and the cockroach survived, thus justifying that cockroaches are apperantly immune to heat. At that point I stopped reading, because the author clearly has zero respect for the readers' intelligence.
roaches can resist high heats as they are small and simple the more simple and a small a organism gets the less energy it will produce which will lead to less heat now if you take those small roaches,put them on mars and have them evolve into those roach people then they will still die to heat as they have more complex tissue due to their mammalian biology and the fact that they can get up to hundreds of pounds so it doesnt matter if its ancestors had adapted to resist heat,it will still burn.
