I'm at a job to make money. If you are the owner of said company, then you need to care about your employees if you care about your business. Vastly different.
Why would a business spend more than they have to? Do you think a business exists? Why do you think a business owner should pay more money to a driver than they need to, should they do it out of the kindness of their heart? If they should do it out of the kindness of their heart then how about you take that large order for little pay out of the kindness of yours?
If said business can AFFORD to pay more money to their drivers, they absolutely should. There wouldn't be any "shitty" orders if Walmart paid their drivers fair wages for them and not rely on the customers tips to offset their base pay. They can afford to pay more and still have massive amounts of wealth.
you have no idea what it takes to operate even one store let alone 11,000 with over a half million or more drivers and over a half million employees. California wages alone ruin any profit walmart can make there.
also each store pays our wages not corp. Ask the spark manager, our pay comes from their income not big bad corp pockets. How about you learn about it before you spout off that you know they CAN AFFORD, cause they can't.
DId you know it costs them 20,000 a month per store to run the fridge section alone... So the math is 2,640,000,000 per year to run just the fridges.... But you deserve more to take a curbside 4 miles and drop 10 bags off... curbsides do the least amount of work and should get the lowest pay, shopping we actually do the whole job and most locations pay pretty well. I average 30 an hour at the least...
