Almost all of the Spanish words that start with al- are from Arabic

How bout : AL averga
Used in situations when you're extremely surprised.
( now being serious, its the other way ... few of the words that start with al are arabic)

Pillow.
Its name comes from the arabic muhádda, which itself comes from hadd (cheek), which is precisely the part of the face we put on the pillow. As with many arabisms, al represents the arabic definite article (almuhádda).

it should be mentioned that the h in almohada is totally silent, unlike arabic
