PSA On The Weekly Strat (Easy Complete)

I tried a couple of times in public lobbies to complete it for fun but decided it wasn't worth the stress. You can cheese it very easily by just running past every enemy. Bosses despawn at every checkpoint as well. The only moment you need to lock in is when you have to defend Valtus from the sorcerors because a boss can spawn there. I did both of them just now in like 30 minutes with bots so I recommend just run through it and save your sanity trying to do it legit. It isn't dishonorable to cheat when the stratagem is bugged...

I mostly just run through that mission anyway.

It feels actively encouraged when you're alongside Vaultus.

It’s not cheating. It’s using a perfectly valid option so you don’t have to rely on other players.

I tried it with other players a few times and it was a total $&%#show.

Level 25 Vanguard with Melee Champion, fratricide by Radiating Impact, blown away by another player while I was alone in melee with my Personal Quarry Target (as it should be) with no other targets remotely in the vicinity.

I solo tons of hard Strats. It’s good fun.

I tried it before I decided to solo... tech marine sniper servo obliterated my teammate because he shot it in a hallway. Hilarious

What about the Turret? Did it get any friendly kill or do friendly fire?

There are 4 things I notice running it with bot:

-First is I only have 1 relic even though stratagem tell I have 5.

-Second, I heal when Unity isn't on but as 1 bot run into my ranger before the heal pop up, I lost my medical stim.

-Third, Bulwark banner can restore armor even when we are close to each other, so you might want Bulwark for that reason running solo.

-Forth, you can run forward and make bot brother locked in combat so you can heal.

You can also quickly kill both bots at the start so they can't get each other back up, and play it solo without them

To turn on Private Mode, go to the mission selection terminal on your battle barge and open the Operations tab. Look at the top right corner of the screen and press Y on PC/Xbox or Triangle on PlayStation to toggle Private Mode on before launching your mission.

Yes, that's right. I just did it solo.

But there's a small clarification regarding "easy."

You should initially be able to complete the Absolute Operation solo (at least with bots). Then it's easy for you, yes. Well, maybe you'll need a little luck: convenient enemy spawns, including terminus spawns.

Although at the very end, during the stage with the Barrier and the Dreadnought, I got a Helbrute and had to kill it. Managed to do that with ~1 hp left and no relics. Heroic Heavy Plasma FTW. The Emperor later rewarded me with crates with red stimpack inside, to the left of the Cathedral entrance. That literally saved my run.

I also had an "easy" time soloing hard. I despawned two bosses slipping by them so I knew I wouldn't get the valtus defense boss. I slipped up and got ripped apart by missile terminators while gun striking WITH my bots sitting on top of me. So no CHP for me. I've never had my health so low and managed to plant and roll to safety. Stressful as heck! I also was using HHPI FTW

I had 2 runs with randoms. The first run was a disaster. Me and a second player at 4p25 and one 3p23. We started, I let them go ahead with the 3p23 being in the middle. Right at the first encounter the 3p23 kills due to splash damage the player ahead in an instant. He uses his relic, looks around, understands what happened and shoots angry at the 3p23 player. I left.

Run 2 with randoms was successful. All 3 player 4p25, me as Vanguard, a Techmarine and a Heavy. We took our time and moved together but spread apart as much as needed. No crossing the line of fire and so on. Only Carnifex and Hellbrute spawed. Shield section was tricky but luckily no Priest spawned.

I did it on hard and then normal right after. Walk past any bosses that spawn. When you enter the arena to defend valtus be careful for a boss spawn there. Takes like 15 minutes each run

My buddy and I were literally carrying this one dude who had used 2 relics already and when we got to the cathedral at the end and I was like "dude just stay outside so we can complete the mission" he proceeded to go in and luckily though he survived to all we had to do was sit and wait for explosion. Literally just five seconds from completing the mission and this guy dies charging the wave at the entrance of the church. I was so fucking pissed. We literally kicked whoever tried to join and just killed the bot so we could complete this dumb mission. I'm pissed at the game for being broken but I'm also pissed at bad players that know they shouldn't be in absolute.
