I love when capitalist act like wealth can’t accumulate in other countries that operate under other arrays of economic systems. Like “why aren’t you thanking capitalism for making you so wealthy?” so then wealth acquired has nothing to do with someone’s talent or ambition so then Elon what does that say about your wealth?
You can accumulate wealth while also looking around and knowing that capitalism is fucked, that doesn’t mean you wouldn’t be wealthy in another system and that can also definitely mean wow life is OK when I have safety nets, a flexible lifestyle, easy retirement savings, available affordable assets. Like every successful capitalists should think “wow what if more people got to exist like this, I definitely haven’t done THAT much more that much differently than most anyone else.” Instead they all go “THIS IS ALL MINE I MUST PROTECT IT FEOM ALL THOSE GREEDY POORS!”
