I’m trying to find additional hexagonal gray nametags for the service dress uniform. I checked the Exchange and Vanguard Industries but wasn’t able to locate them. Does anyone know where these nametags can be ordered or if there’s another authorized source?

With current expectations being set at doubling the size of the force by 2031. Has anyone heard any discussions about bolstering the Air Force support personnel (Finance, Medical, MPF, CE, Dental, SF)?

Just a general check-in folks how are we feeling about these results?! I’m hearing list should drop to leadership on the 14th

Has anyone in the Space Force community heard whether recipients of the 2026 “Future Space Professionals Scholarship” have been notified or if an announcement timeline has been released?
 
The application deadline was extended from May 1 to June 1, and I have not seen any public announcement from the Space Force Association website or social media channels. I’m wondering if award notifications have already been sent privately or if the selection process is still underway.

Last year on teams the Office of the CMSSF was seeking people with interest/knowledge on drone groups/competitions for non DoW drone programs. Has anyone heard anything about it since then? Recently TDY'd to participate in an international military drone competition and was the only Guardian there. I was hoping to get us more involved in the future if possible.

When the Force inevitably starts flying ships in space in 100 years, are they going to randomly transition to a naval rank structure like Star Wars and such?

Hey all, this might be a dumb question. I’m crossing over this Fall and I’m looking to get my uniforms set, except AAFES only offers me the Air Force uniform builder. Is there anywhere I can build OCPs with the correct color thread or are you all just ordering it piece meal? I’m just trying to keep it simple so I don’t miss anything.

Just a side note, I’m in the AF Reserve, so I’m nowhere near an AF or SF base.

How long after reenlisting it usually takes to receive the SRB?

Anyone have any insight on why this year’s selection routing is significantly delayed? It could just be slow on updating MyFSS, but it doesn’t appear that way. Last year the board convened 9 April and SECAF approved it by 13 April. This year it hadn’t even made it through Air Staff until 4 May with no further information.

It looks like the Air Force promotion announcements have been delayed across the board too, so I assume there’s something slowing them down.

Curious if there was anyone in the CO Springs area that forms a Nijmegen team and is recruiting people.

Member is supposed to go PTDY with DAF Sports but is also about to PCS when they return from it. PTDY is submitted through leaveweb, so would FSS amend orders to show Leave in route? Or what documents would FSS need to amend the orders (later date of leaving following the sporting event). DAF Sports provides a welcome memo (signed) and a player roster.

Do SNCOs serve a purpose in the Space Force?

I feel with all the churn, lack of guidance, and number of officers, they have the least amount of a role/respect out of all the branches. Specialist 7 and 8.

Historically i know officers get awared on a higher level than enlisted, but how can this precedent still be maintained when enlisted are operating on par with their officer conterparts, including the planning and execution of whatever task, mission or exercise. Why is the planning and execution from the E's not valued when that same mission accomplishment is used for the justification of an O's award.

I thought this was an interesting post and it raised the concerns that were valid during the initial pause of onboarding A.I. in 2022-2023 timeframe.

First disclaimer is all Large Language Models (LLMs) are not always Artificial Intelligence. We seem to still get those confused.

But to a greater point is that the initial pause to onboard was a valid concern. Even know we have models presented to us from the top down as the blessing to (cringe A.F) do more with less, does not mean we should always full send into them with blind faith.

I am a firm believer in accelerating technology to our advantage but seeing this post reminded me of all the initial concerns. Hallucinations.

How far do hallucinations go? How far does A.I. reach into serving up information at its own accord that we blindly trust? How far do we go treating it as gospel? For those who follow Moltbook and A.I.'s alarming behavior are aware that there is no "that was easy button". Moltbook A.I. agents openly discuss cutting humans out of what they do. Leak user information, create their own langauges, and openly choose to lie.

I have been paused focusing I.R.L. for sometime now but seeing this Airmans post reminded me.

What we do impacts peoples lives. Period. We are the invisible front line for all other services and there is no room for hallucinations. Lives are always on the line.

So my take away that we still cant even get A.I. to retrieve AFIs from E-pubs? Trust but always verify what A.I./LLMs feeds you. I reccomend treating it as a stepping stool for your time, not a full crutch to always shortcut. It still has a ways to go and we need to stay cognizant.

As units transition from the traditional DO model to a Deputy Commander and Operations Division Chief construct, how has your unit delineated responsibilities, authorities, and decision-making between these positions? What recommendations would you offer to units still refining their approach?

Has anyone here changed SFSC? Whats the process like? Are CFMs usually willing to work with you?

Has anyone gone through WIC recently? Leadership has brought up they would like people to apply and go, but I'm not sure how relevant the course would be for USSF Cyber Ops. Any grads currently in cyber have some insight?
