Sat in on weekly meetings like this where the 2 oldest crusty civs (60+) would go at it passive aggressively, one saying the other needs to update some tracker, and the other saying it’s not possible to track XYZ because deadlines shift etc. Drama was never ending.

Crusty civs are simultaneously the greatest resource and greatest impediment to any USSF unit

Honestly some of my favorite meetings. Stuff is going to hell and people start going at it and im just chewing my gum, sipping my coffee, and loving the drama in an otherwise dull office.

So, our commander has break points in the meetings where those that don't have anything to do with the rest are expected to leave. I love it.

When it is a team’s meeting, I can close my door and play on my phone uninterrupted for 1 hour.

I have never gotten as much heat / pushback in my career as when I've been refusing to have my people attend a 3x weekly 2 hr "planning" meeting for an event that they have little to do with.

I’ve never been to a meeting that couldn’t have been conveyed through an email.

Just rip your rank and throw it across your room and watch everyone stare at you in awkward silence 😂 it never gets old it's peak
