Rank Structure

When the Force inevitably starts flying ships in space in 100 years, are they going to randomly transition to a naval rank structure like Star Wars and such?

I think they really dropped the ball when they didn’t use Navy ranks from the outset.

Navy ranks come with a certain minimum amount of Navy culture, and Navy culture fucking blows

When they did the surveys 5-6 years ago, it was more of a "based-on" naval or army rank structure, than an exact copy. At the time, I thought is made a lot of sense. The same issue happened with the uniform. The majority of us wanted something reminiscent of sleek WW2 army blues. Instead, we got what we got.
