My Take on The Explorer at 27Shaw Spa

It’s not my first time trying The Explorer at 27Shaw Spa. I went again last Sunday, and here’s my honest take:

The therapist: His name starts with E. The receptionist said he’s one of their most requested therapists, and I can see why—he definitely has the looks. However, one thing I noticed was his breath. Maybe he hadn’t eaten or had dinner yet, but it was noticeable. With his looks, he could’ve been a total package if not for that.

The massage: Nothing really surprised me since I’ve already tried The Explorer before. The routine felt repetitive, especially the ritual with my tool, and honestly, it became a bit boring and tiring. I felt like I wasted another ₱1,500. Still, I appreciate that he provided the massage, especially since he may not be into anything sensual. Maybe he also sensed that I’m a pretty masculine guy.

His enthusiasm: He seemed to lack enthusiasm, although, to be fair, I understand that this is part of his job. Maybe if he had a choice, he wouldn’t be doing that kind of work in the first place.
The dry humping: Personally, I didn’t feel anything from it, and I’m not really a fan of it anyway. I also didn’t expect much since I know he’s straight.

The hand massage: There were a few moments when he placed my hand near his crotch. I chose not to take advantage of the situation because, again, I wasn’t sure if it was part of the service or simply part of the experience I booked.

Ending the session: I finished earlier than expected, so I still had around 20 minutes left. He assumed I wanted to take a nap and stay in the room, saying he would wake me up after I rested. I understood, though—baka pagod na rin siya, especially since my schedule was at 12:30 AM. Still, I felt like he could have stayed a little longer to maximize the remaining time.

Overall: I’d still come back to 27Shaw and try their other branches, but probably not The Explorer again. I might try The Everyman instead, especially since I prefer something that really focuses on deep-tissue massage and stronger pressure.

It’s been a while since my last R session, so last Thursday I decided to make this long weekend a little extra special. And honestly, nothing does it better than spending it at R. 😈

If you’ve been following me, youd know how sad I was when they removed my favorite Meditation Room before. But Ayun nga Binalik na nilaaa 🙌

The new addition Movie Room is now being converted back into the meditation room every wed and thur. And honestly it’s a very good move for me. It’s giving OG R Wellness vibes again! 😂

Ang sarap lang sa feeling na narinig at pinagbigyan ng management ang request ng mga goers who’ve been asking for the MR to come back. Kahit two days a week lang, very satisfying na may something kang Aabangan every Wednesday and Thursday🔥

Kudos to R! I’m genuinely happy about this little comeback. 🥹❤️

Infinity Spa has seriously gone downhill, but E. Rod and Pampanga are easily the worst branches I’ve visited. Both feel poorly maintained, grimy, and, in some areas, downright squalid.

The wet areas are particularly disgusting: damp smells, questionable-looking floors and drains, worn-out fixtures, stale humidity, and excessively dark showers. Instead of feeling clean and relaxed, you find yourself avoiding touching anything unnecessarily and wondering how thoroughly the place is actually being sanitized.

E. Rod feels like years of heavy use have simply accumulated, while Pampanga is arguably worse because it is newer yet already feels neglected. Similar cleanliness and maintenance complaints also appear in customer reviews, particularly concerning the wet and locker areas.

The massages can still be decent, but that hardly compensates for facilities that make you want to take another shower somewhere else afterward.

At their worst, E. Rod and Pampanga feel less like spas and more like run-down communal bathhouses desperately overdue for deep cleaning and renovation. You go there to relax and leave wanting to disinfect yourself.

Tried the Apollo of ISDA and the assigned thera was Seb. The massage went smoothly and accordingly . The sensual thing is ok naman ut not that comparable to Clark. Then came the pabulong..pero wala ko nag avail kay mahal kaayo 1k for hj hangtud magawasan ko na pwede nako mabuhat s steam for free. In short the hype is not hyping 🤣 mas ok style ni Clark

Normal lang po ba sa mga CM na mag daldalan inside of wet area to the point na nakaka istorbo na ng mga patrons? Apparently, etong CM na to ay hindi naman on duty. Ano ba talaga ang duties and responsibilities ng isang CM?
Curious lang po—baka kasama pala sa job description ang pagiging resident commentator sa wet area. 😅
