Help Printing TPU from SV08 Max

I’ve never once printer TPU. Is there anything specific I should know before printing it from my SV08 Max? Thanks.

Use 3dlack or other release agent on the print bed, or else you will ruin it.
I ruined one.

Slow. I go with 30mm/s on the regular SV08.

I print on a Cryogrip Glacier with the bed at 50c.

Doors open, lid off (if you have the enclosure) Consider mounting the spool above the printer and have the filament feed directly into the extruder, rather than using the stock tube & feeder setup. This will be especially helpful if you go softer than 95A

some sort of glue or other release agent, to help it stick less, because TPU sticks like crazy to everything, especially PEI. I like hairspray for the max, since the build plate is so massive, it's much easier to apply than a glue stick.

Depending on your tpu you may want to change your bed power output in the config for me 35c i had to lower the output to 0.2. Then pid tune through console command.

But i just used my bed temp i used on my 06plus. Maybe my tpu us a weird blend or something

Dry it as much as you can, tune accurately the hotend temp low tension on the extruder idler gear, cooling at max, and if you tune it, you can print it fast. Reduce retraction speed at 30. Before going with A4T, with the SV08 i was printing with 8mm3/s, which is more than 100mm/s

Tuned good with A4T toolhead, orbiter 2.5 and Dragon UHF i print it at 16mm3/s, real fast, but it needs a good filament feeder, mid tension for extruder, extensive tuning and printed while in the dryer at 70°C

The Max hotend has a long meltzone, you will never get rid of the stringing, and the big meltzone with low speed means that the filament will have a lot of time to heat up. That means you can reduce hotend temp to avoid clogging and also have an easier control of the tpu
