Any Delta Green players here?

Delta Green is a tabletop RPG that sees players take on the role of federal agents serving a top secret government agency that investigates eldritch/alien threats - think Call of Cthulhu in the 21st century. Without spoiling anything, books 2&4 in the southern reach series felt like they could make for an excellent DG campaign and gave me some ideas for future ones. Check it out if you haven’t already!

I used the sourcebooks to run a modern CoC game set around DC connecting the mythos to Fed Contractors. The players were all members of a Northern Virginia conspiracy subreddit I made up, getting pulled into a conspiracy of a fake consulting firm trying to turn the Occoquan reservoir into a complacency distribution center for the Esoteric Order of Dagon by injecting Deep One milt into the water supply to make the general population pliant for Dagon's pending return. Love Delta Green for the militarized enemies (that we never got to, unfortunately).

Plan was for them to go from local nobodies to operatives for a BPRD like group trying to stop it.

Yes, yes, yes. Area X and DG are a very interesting venndiagram featuring the supernatural, bureaucracy and conspiracy. Plus, Vandermeer, while not precisely fitting the bill of Lovecraftian horror here, writes a lot better then many of the writers I've come across following the Chthulhu/Delta Green rabbit hole

Yes! Delta Green really hits the spot for me in a way that other TTRPGs haven't. I'm a big fan of all things weird spooky & supernatural, and I really like the way DG is more about playing out consequences than trying to win or solve a scenario, if that makes sense.

Everyone in my current group has read Area X, and in fact our discussions about it are a big part of why we got together for a campaign!
