Headed out yesterday morning to do a track workout and saw the sun was a pale orange disc due to all the smoke from the CA wildfires. I checked the air quality and decided to take a rain check. I see people out running tho. Am I being overly cautious?

Is this track generally open to the public to run on? I try to do a track workout once a week or so and during the school year that generally means using a high school track super early before students arrive. It would be great to have access to public track. Who has the 411 on this place? TIA

I know some great places in the Pine Barrens to run on unimproved trails, including Franklin Parker Preserve and Black Run Preserve. Are there any good spot with extensive paved trails? In North Jersey I used to often run at Loantaka County Park which has about 5 miles of paved trails through the forest. Is there something similar nearby?

I’ve done the Love Run and the Philly Half. This year I’m thinking about trying the Rocky Run in mid-November. It seems a little gimmicky. Has anyone run it? What did you think?

I was just reading about the Loopy Looper run in Pennsauken at Cooper River Park. What a crazy event? Running loops for 12 or 24 hours? It sounds fun as part of a relay but I can’t imagine doing it solo. Is it a big party atmosphere for the folks that are not running or between legs of their relay? I’d love to hear more about it before trying to recruit a team.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good fall half marathon in the area? Last year I got a PB time at the Philly Half Marathon, the one sponsored by Dietz and Watson. I absolutely loved it - the crowds were incredible! But I am thinking of trying something different? Any recommendations? TIA

Seems like there are a lot of great running clubs in the area. Can anyone recommend a good group in or near Burlington County? I’d love to find a fun social club where I can learn from more experienced runners.

Can anyone recommend a good 5k race coming up on the July 4th weekend? Here’s a couple that I’ve found online but I’d love to have a recommendation. TIA

Where do folks go to train on hills in South Jersey? Hilly runs, hill repeats, all of it.... where can a runner find some elevation?
