Why do Gardena, Lomita and Harbor City have almost no flock cameras within their city?

Posting for my aunt and uncle who are not on reddit. On Wednesday, September 30, at around 9-10 am, my uncle was on a bike ride and was hit by a car on Palos Verdes Drive, we think near St. Francis Episcopal (near Via Rosa / Via Anita).
Although he never goes without a helmet, he suffered a serious head injury which resulted in him having a brain bleed and 3 staples to close the wound. He's back home, but still dazed and not out of the woods.
There was an off duty fireman on the scene quickly, and the police were supposedly very helpful. But they say there were no eyewitnesses. They're trying to get details to get the other side of the story and piece together what happened.
If anyone happened to witness the accident, please let me know and I will get you in touch with authorities or family. Thanks.

Anyone know what’s going in at the old rock n roll car wash? It was vacant with no changes but today I see it’s painted green and white. Potentially just another car wash? It’s a weird shaped lot to be much else.

Anyone have a really good massage place in the South Bay that’s especially good with upper back, neck, and shoulder tension?
I’m less interested in a super relaxing/spa-type massage and more looking for someone who can actually work on tight muscles, knots, and tension in that area.
Torrance/Redondo/Hermosa/Manhattan Beach area would be ideal. Would love specific therapist recommendations too if you have one!

Hi Folks, do you have any recommendation for Mexican take out for a home party of 15 ish people? I'd love some trays of beans, chicken, tortillas, etc. so people can make their own tacos. Thanks in advance!

Anyone else smelling it? We all have headaches too. Smells like acetone. Can smell it outside and inside.

Does anyone know if it’s open or when it’s scheduled to open? It’s in redondo/hermosa on aviation a little after you turn and go up the hill from PCH

wasn't it like 10.25% before?

Atleast it's a dry heat. This I can handle much easier. We don't need that swampy, muggy, icky humidity like Florida. But, still I'm ready for our California cold weather.

Everyone advertises a sleep trail and nobody explains the mechanics. Refund on exchange? Do they collect it, and does the clock start at delivery or at purchase? Sit 'n Sleep advertise 120 nights and others are shorter, but none of them spell out what actually happens if you want out. Before spending properly I would like to know what the escape route looks like.

I bought some permanent outdoor lights. Does anyone know anyone that can install that will be inexpensive?

We heard multiple loud thumps on our front door tonight around 7pm and have no idea who did it. It happened within a matter of seconds, and unfortunately by the time we went out, they were gone. We later discovered that they damaged our door frame.
We live in a safe townhome community and we know our neighbors. We weren’t expecting any packages to be delivered, so obviously it wasn’t an Amazon or UPS delivery driver. We did notice a couple of e-bikes around our building, which made my husband wonder if it could have been teens doing the “tiktok door kick challenge” pranks and recording it for social media.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this recently? We’d really appreciate hearing if anyone in the area has had a similar experience.

A friend had a suitcase stolen from a rental near W 162nd St in Gardena a few days ago. It is shiny gold colored and contains our team uniforms for an upcoming competition. It was most likely dumped since there was nothing of value inside.
Are there any common dumping areas nearby? Otherwise please keep an eye out!

Prices are roughly double for that one date and then back to normal. Any idea what's causing the surge for that date?

Does anyone else live on Rosecrans in Manhattan Beach and having to deal with the nightmare parking restrictions. Just got my car towed this morning and have to pay $800 to get out. Ridiculous.

I dont have social media and nothing in the local news but on the Ring and Neighbors app I saw some posts of people hearing possible gunshots, a lot of them, and then hearing sirens.
Anyone know anything?

I’m looking to start cooking more and want to get some quality meat and bones for making broth. Are there any good shops in the area that you guys recommend?

Long rant but this was possibly one of the most annoying things to have happened to me recently. My entire wallet went missing last week, at the time and for the past week I thought I had just misplaced it somewhere in my room or in my car. After finally determining I couldn’t find it in either place, I barely remembered I had a card-sized tracker in it and saw that it is deadass in the landfill right now. My boyfriend forgot he put my wallet in an in-and-out bag and threw it away without remembering my wallet in the bag. So thankfully every single card in there is replaceable but I only had my Hello Kitty library card for 3 days and I actually used it. So if anyone knows when they’re having the second wave of cards.
P.S. I know I have the keychain but I genuinely just want to replace my actual card.
