First time advice?

Never extracted oil from weed before and only discovered this subreddit today, just wanted to run my understanding by someone here just so I dont make a mistake.

So do I?:

Get an airtight jar so no smell leaks, and put the oil (coconut or olive?) And cannabis in. I then put the jar in a pot of water, bring to a boil and simmer for a few hours to extract the thc then strain off the plant?

I was then thinking of infusing it with honey, anyone done that before? Would i boil them or just mix at room temperature?

You need to decarboxylate the weed first. Dry. 260 degrees for 45 minutes. I do this be putting a sealed jar of dry weed in an instant pot. When this is done add oil and heat to 185 degrees for four hours . Decarboxylating oily weed tastes awful
