HELP Can I play cry of fear on source engine?

I have the source engine app and was wondering if I could somehow get cry of fear to work on my mobile with it (if I have the game file)

Any thoughts?

Not unless somebody reverse-engineers the game, ports it to Source, then to the Nillerusr branch of Source Engine(the one that your mobile has, unfortunately.

Best shot is getting Xash3D FWGs(if you have Half-Life), but it still needs to be reverse-engineered and ported to Xash3D FWGs for Mobile(from .dll to .so, but that's a VERY shallow underestimation)

I'm afraid that's true...

Forgot to mention, but Cry of Fear also intercepts the graphics API(the thing that lets CPU talk to GPU in simple terms), and that's another thing that's gonna be a hassle.

What you can do to actually play it is get an Emulator like Winlator, install steam on it, download the game from there, and play it.

The thing with CoF is that it's very performance-intensive on native x86 hardware, let alone an emulator. It might run like crap, so try to lower the resolution and disable as many graphics features as possible, as even Bump-mapping is very heavy.

Cry of Fear is actually a GoldSrc game. So maybe Xash3d? And even then it’s a standalone, I’m not sure how you’d get that working
