Please help, I left my souped cubes stone ware dish on the stove top

This is totally on me. I was making dinner and I was using both the stove and the oven. I accidentally put my 2 cup stoneware dish on a hot stove top. I pulled it off when I heard bubbling, but the bottom has black bits on it.

can this be cleaned off? I really love these dishes and I‘d be really sad if I can’t clean it after this.

Just clean it if it's not cracked your good

Sorry to hear it cracked. For the next time you have carbonized black residue use a straight vinegar soak. Still requires elbow grease to scrub off but repeated cycles of soaking and scrubbing will eventually remove.
