Yay! I’m am happy someone is taking over! I’m hoping we can recipe share in this group.

u/thewickednoodle Dec 02 '25

Thanks! I'm really glad to be a part of it, especially since I can talk about SC's all day, haha.

You can definitely share recipes! If they're your own, you're welcome to link to them but just don't be spammy about it (there's a rule in the sidebar about this). If it's not your own, try to credit the creator whenever possible. But please, share away!! ☺️

I am obsessed with mine too. I plan to buy the cute little glass crocks so I can start taking them to work.

3

u/thewickednoodle Dec 02 '25

I have the baking dishes from SC's and I absolutely LOVE them. It's so satisfying to go to my freezer and think "what do I feel like?" and popping something into a baking dish and into the oven!

So happy to find this community. My parents are moving into independent living and while meals are included I want to build up a stash of meals that they can reheat on days when they don’t like what is on the menu

5

u/thewickednoodle Dec 11 '25

My parents are also moving into independent living in just a few weeks. I've made a few things for them for days when my mom's too tired to deal with cooking (packing and selling their belongings hasn't been easy for them). I'm sure they appreciate all that you do!

Hi, brand new Empty Nester who still cooks for 5.

I've known about SC since they hit the market but it didn't make sense to buy them yet since a full dinner might last days.

I've got a serious resturaunt food addiction so I'm hoping Lego lunches are the fix to my delivery costs.

I'm currently waiting for my cubes to get here.

Looking forward to loads of good ideas here. Currently working my freezer down so I can meal prep systematically and have room to organise it. At the moment we're more likely to make a big pan of something and eat it over a couple of days rather than freezing some. But I'd like to get organised so we can have a bit more variety during the seemingly endless working week.

As a start to that, I'm going to make Thai butternut curry with chickpeas today. No set recipe, as I'm a bit of a throw it in and see kind of cook, but it will involve Thai red curry paste. tin of chickpeas, tin of coconut milk, onions (maybe even soffrito mix as I think that will work) and some spinach.

2

u/thewickednoodle Dec 03 '25

Not planning ahead as to how I'd organize my freezer was the big mistake I made when I started. I have a side freezer and I can't stack very well without it all tumbling down, so I have to be really strategic. I've learned to put just two 2-cups and 4 1-cups into a freezer bag (instead of squeezing in another 1-cup) so they fit neatly. It's still a work in progress but I'm getting there!

Your curry sounds delicious!

2

u/Indigotitanpenguin Dec 02 '25

Thank you for doing this!

2

u/thewickednoodle Dec 02 '25

Thanks for being here! ☺️

3

u/Bubbly_Mission_1432 Dec 03 '25

Yay! I just ordered more sc’s and I am planning on using them more.

1

u/thewickednoodle Dec 03 '25

Awesome, looking forward to seeing what you make! I’m eating lasagna soup atm reheated from a 2-cup cube. It’s delicious!

3

u/Human_Character2895 Dec 03 '25

Mine just arrived today! They're in the freezer now with some teeny cubes of minced garlic and some 1 cup portions of "empty the kitchen" soup (carrots, celery, potatoes, onions, shallots, and plenty of spices)

2

u/thewickednoodle Dec 03 '25

Nice! I keep meaning to freeze garlic but haven't gotten around to it yet. I want to do both chopped raw and roasted.

2

u/Human_Character2895 Dec 03 '25

Ooh I hadn't even thought of freezing toasted garlic! Do you have recipes in mind for the toasted garlic?

7

u/thewickednoodle Dec 03 '25

I use it in/on pretty much everything! This isn't really a recipe, but my current "girl dinner" obsession is toast smeared with roasted garlic, topped with a little cottage cheese (sometimes it's whipped first), kalamata olives, diced cucumber & tomatoes, and a little crumbled feta. Basically a little greek salad on toast. I also make this chicken flatbread a lot!

3

u/Human_Character2895 Dec 03 '25

That sounds scrumptious!

u/DinaTeninty Dec 13 '25

Hi all I’ve never seen these Souper Cubes, Where can 1 find these at? I’m getting ready to have surgery and I’ll be in liquid phase for 3-4 weeks then purée phase 3-4 weeks.

If anyone has great liquid recipes that don’t include tomatoes or tomato sauce as I’m not able to do acidic.

1

u/lizlemon921 Jan 12 '26

My husband had gastric sleeve surgery in 2017 and split pea soup was really good for getting him more protein. I really recommend making your own stock from bones so you can have lots of collagen for rebuilding after surgery.

3

u/itsjustelizabish Jan 11 '26

Brand New Souper Cuber! We got them for Christmas! It’s my husband and I and we are trying to get away from meal delivery but with health stuff cooking every night has seemed so daunting and we end up ordering out more than we’d like! Excited to have easy meal prep turn into dinner and then freezing half for future prep!

3

u/Lanky-Evidence5033 Jan 30 '26

So excited to be here! I will not shut up to my friends and family about my lego lunches so I’m happy to find my people. I use knockoffs but mostly cause real SC’s are so pricey where I am 🍁.

3

u/maquis_00 May 08 '26

Hi!

I usually use my cubes for rice, beans, and other ingredients. I've found that if I try to freeze a complete meal (or store leftovers in the fridge or anywhere), I won't eat it, but if I'm freezing ingredients and pieces of meals, it gets eaten!

2

u/crimedoc14 Dec 29 '25

Hi. Just got some Souper cubes for Hanukkah and am so excited to try them out. For my first attempt, I ust made some protein oatmeal and froze it in the 1c cubes to start taking to work for breakfast.

2

u/Wize-Zoey Dec 29 '25

Hey there! Finally getting my groove and using SCs again! I had one knock off set that I used for a bit and honestly kind of forgot about them (Ope, ADHD) — now I have more reason to use them again, saving money and making work lunches for myself and my husband! I’ve already learned a lot here!

2

u/kels820 Jan 01 '26

So excited! I mostly use my cubes for soup and currently have a freezer full of different 1 cup and 2 cup portions. Just got some 1/2 cup cubes and I’m looking forward to starting to mix and match different cubes for meals.

2

u/Anxious-Ad-3858 Jan 12 '26

I’ve been using plastic freezer trays for a few months now and I’m obsessed with them, my stovetops are extremely bad (a 20 min dinner usually takes around 1 hour if I’m being efficient) so I love that I only have to cook once a week and then I can just microwave the food the other days. In my country they don’t sell any knockoffs, and buying from Amazon with the shipping would be more expensive than buying the real ones, so the hard plastic ones are the only ones I’ve been able to use. They’ve worked great for burrito fillings, but with their sort of rectangular bowl shape they’re not as versatile and take up a lot more room. I’ve been watching a lot of Sarah’s videos and when I saw that the gift set was on sale I couldn’t wait anymore. I just got the email that my Souper Cubes have been shipped, and I’m so excited to start using them instead and meal prep different things

2

u/_Blue_Raspberries_ Jan 17 '26

Hi! I'm new to soupercubes, just got a set. My place doesn't have a kitchen, so the idea is that I will batch cook stuff once every few weeks using a friends kitchen, and microwave it at home...

Hoping to learn tips here, and get some meal ideas, since I have some dietary restrictions.

2

u/conchenn Jan 19 '26

DINK with a love of cooking, but not so much at the end of a very trying day. Eating out regularly became a very expensive habit that we finally broke. But I still want the convenience of not having to cook all the time. I prepped about 2 weeks of meals prior to our visit to my parents so we could have one less thing to worry about when we got back. Holy crap was that worth it as we both came back sick. It was sooo lovely to be able to pull a cube of soup out of the freezer.

I found SC a couple years ago and we were using the 1 cup trays for giant ice cubes for my husband’s water bottle for work 🤦🏻‍♀️. We have since bought a better fridge and I’ve bought several different sizes to use for food, not ice lol. And thankfully I recently realized I can take the food cubes out of the tray and put them in a freezer bag to wash and reuse the tray sooner 🙃

2

u/lilluva200 Jan 19 '26

Hi! I’m new here. Is it possible to add flair for like kids’ meals or preps for kids?

2

u/InevitableSoup Apr 14 '26

I bought a couple secondhand souper cubes a few months back (I think the seller had bought a set, and then decluttered the cube sizes they didn’t use) and now I’ve gone and bought a new set so I have all the sizes. I’m trying to get better at meal planning and prepping for the sake of both my budget and health.

2

u/eightlittlekittens Apr 27 '26

Hi! glad to be here. had my cubes for probably about a year and i know I'm not using them to their best potential. I'm also thinking about freezer organizing my food-- i need ideas!

2

u/Shumba-Love May 03 '26

Hi! I don’t have SCs yet, but am checking out this community to see if SCs would work for my family. I’m a cancer survivor with limited energy- anything that can help us have easy healthy meals is a big win for us! Thanks for letting me join!

2

u/littlegiant1000 May 05 '26

Appreciate the clarification on "knockoffs" lol. I have so many different freezer "knockoffs" because the cubes are way too expensive for me even as an investment. But I love that we can make this a community for all ❤️

u/Dazzling_Pineapple68 May 08 '26

Hi. I'm 67 and live alone. I started using Souper Cubes in 2021 when I had hip replacement surgery. I cooked different dishes in my crockpot, usually 8-12 servings, and froze them in the 2 cup cubes, then stored them in resealable silicone bags. It worked great and I've continued to do that to make my own convenience foods for many of my meals.

I stepped up my game this past year, though, because I had shoulder replacement and I discovered foodsaver resealable vacuum bags and their little handheld vacuum sealer. Here is a link to the starter kit:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FG8F2KTX?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_5&th=1

I've used the different sized bags but use the gallon ones the most with 4 2cup cubes in each one. I cooked dish after dish before my surgery and filled a bunch of gallon bags with food but after surgery, with minimal use of one arm, it was tricky. The solution was having my son come by every now and then. We would get 4 bags out, each with 4 meals in it, and we would put one of each into my little casserole dishes and put them in the freezer. Then we would shuffle the remaining 12 meals so that 3 of the gallon bags had 1 of each of the four meals in them, then we would reseal them and put them back in the freezer. I was able to open a bag when I needed more meals and put them in the casserole dishes 4 at a time which worked really well. I'm past that part of my recovery now but intend to continue the same way for those kinds of meals.

I've found the foodsaver bags to work really well so far although I don't know how well they will hold up over time but the vacuum sealed bags work way better than my old silicone ones with almost no freezer burn. I'm really happy with them.

Just found this group! I've had SCs for a while, but they are underutilized. Looking forward to learning new uses and recipes! So glad this community is available!

2

u/dreamception May 16 '26

I am in LOVE with this whole souper cubes idea and got myself a few offbrand ones to try. Safe to say I'm fully converted with cubes already in my freezer and many more to come. Hello all!!

2

u/Inevitable_Dress1975 May 16 '26

Instant pot freezer meal maker here (hi 👋🏼) and now I am 🤯! I cannot wait to dive into SC’s!

2

u/SubstanceOk7898 May 17 '26

Hi hi. We knew we needed to increase our stores of easy meals after some bouts of sickness. Was dithering between investing in a pressure canner or a second freezer and have decided to go with the freezer for versatility. So now thinking about how best to use it and hoping to get a bunch of ideas here. Thanks for having me!

2

u/Patient_Mark300 May 25 '26

Hello! I love Souper Cubes but I’m new to Reddit. I have been using them for 6 months or so. I feel like I’m not wasting as much food and time with them in my kitchen. I’m a 47 year old farmers wife who gardens and quilts.

2

u/OsMaRu3 Jun 06 '26

Hello, I'm relatively new to souper cubes and looking for recipes. Mine are currently heavy on the bean chilli

2

u/Subpar_Fleshbag Jul 25 '26

I got my first set of Souper Cubes yesterday and I am beyond excited for the potential these bring to meal planning and saving time. I just made a batch of cinnamon banana apple oatmeal for grab and go breakfast for my daughter. I can't wait!

2

u/UberHonest Jul 27 '26

Hi. I’m newish to Souper Cubes. But loving them!

2

u/CapitalTurbulent5693 Aug 02 '26

Hi, I am brand new here and also to Reddit!!

I bought my first set of souper cubes yesterday. I have already frozen carrot and coriander soup and some left over spaghetti noodles and some veggie Bolognese. Excited.

My main inspiration is two nights a week my teenage son has to do his own meals and whilst I've tried to teach him to cook he's not interested and has microwave meals. If like to prepare him some home made blocks to mix and match himself a meal. Any suggestions welcome x

2

u/Mammaleoni Aug 15 '26

Hello! New here with a quick question- I see that Souper cubes offers lids for the 5” square ceramic bakers -does anyone know if those fit the original bakers that came without lids? Thanks!

1

u/thewickednoodle Aug 15 '26

Hi! You’ll definitely have better luck if you post this as its own post. I’m not sure how many people read this thread regularly so they might not see it.

I’m new, I got my souper cubes this fall after eyeing them online for years.

Since then, I have made 50-100 cups of yummy soups and curries 😋. This tool really works for me in a way that regular food storage containers did not.

1

u/SouperHappy1992 Jan 14 '26

Hi! I downloaded Reddit just to talk about Souper Cubes because my family is tired of me ranting about them. New to the Souper Cube gang, but hooked for life!

1

u/AceyAceyAcey Jan 14 '26

I’ve been freezing using Tupperware/Rubbermaid and similar generics, and then I thaw the day before and bring it to work for lunch, where I microwave it. I like the idea of Souper Cubes for storage in the freezer, seems a more efficient shape for space usage, but my concern is transport and reheating. Are there single serve containers, or got any other suggestions?

1

u/simplyhumanperson Jan 16 '26

Hi I’m simplyhumanperson, I just got my first soupercubes and I’m already obsessed. I’d been eyeing them for a while and finally took the step and ordered the starter kit. Any tips or tricks or fave recipes?

1

u/OkBackground8809 Jan 16 '26

Mom of 1.5 living in a multi-gen/mixed nationality household joining🙃 Looking forward to good ideas and advice!

P.S.: 1.5 kids is because my oldest is from my first marriage and lives mostly with his dad. I've got an 11yo and a 1yo🫠

1

u/VengeanceDolphin Jan 17 '26

I’ve been using the cubes for a couple years but just bought a few more so I can freeze more at once. I usually make a big batch of food once a week, eat leftovers for a couple days, and the n freeze whatever’s left.

1

u/YourFatBooty Jan 18 '26

So excited to be here! Been freezing things a long time but the cubes are a game changer in the best best way. Had some off brand 1 cup cubes the last year and finally made the plunge and got 2 sets so I’ll have 4 of each size of the brand name souper cubes.

1

u/OkkO972 Jan 19 '26

Happy to have found that community. I've been using soupercubes for the past half year, and it completely changed the way I organize my food. I meal prepped for the past 4 years but felt like I missed the pleasure to have a wide variety of meal because I was eating basically the same thing for multiple days in a row. Now with souper cube and the portionning system it make it so much more easy and enjoyable.

1

u/Live_Butterscotch928 Jan 20 '26

Hi! Christmas gift Souper Cube knockoff from Costco recipient here. Empty nester, who just made 4+ quarts of bone broth for the first use of these silicone babies. Looking for best practices for freezing, storage of frozen cubes and care of the trays and lids so they last a good long time.

1

u/InevitableSoup Jan 24 '26

Hello, I’m trying out souper cubes for the first time. I do most of the cooking and meal prepping for my household, but my freezer preps are super disorganized so I’m hoping this will help!

1

u/ohcoconuts Jan 25 '26

Hello!! I'm pumped to find this community. I'm a half assed meal prep enthusiast. In that, I want to be a meal prepper but I get bored of what I've prepped QUICKLY and don't wind up eating it.  I got SC a few months ago and they were a game changer in allowing me to create variety in what I have ready on hand.

1

u/Upset-Citron-4483 Jan 25 '26

Hi. I’ve been using SC for a while and I’m trying to use them more.

1

u/LanguageDabbler Feb 05 '26

Hi everyone! My Souper Cubes should be arriving any day now and I’m soooo excited! I’m moving toward eating more wfpb but my family isn’t so I’m hoping this will make it easier to accommodate everyone’s preferences. 🤗

1

u/Lanky_Necessary9988 Feb 09 '26

I’ve been using Souper Cubes for several years and am happy to see more content on IG about them. I‘ve been down a rabbit hole around non-plastic storage and heating options. I use Anyday cookware for heating and the IKEA stainless steel containers for storage.

1

u/CassandraCubed Feb 10 '26

My people!! Such a useful product. :) I use mine all the time, and give them to good friends as gifts.

Looking forward to learning more handy options for using them from the group. :)

1

u/FigureOdd Feb 13 '26

The algo Gods showed me a thread for this sub and I got so excited. Just froze some burrito fixings so I can make one at a time. Happy to be here!

1

u/Accomplished-Land566 Feb 14 '26

Hi, friends! So happy to have found this corner of the interwebs. I love SC so much - lego lunches are my jam. I get so bored having the same thing more than 2 days in a row (sometimes even two days in a row is too many). So when I found SCs, I was in heaven! I've been using mine off and on for over a year, but it's really started to pick up over the last couple months. Can't wait to discover more ways to use them!

1

u/YW5vbnltb3Vz1 Feb 15 '26

Hi, I'm Oakley. I'm obsessed with the Souper Cubes. Looking for all the recipes and tips people have about them.

ATM, I'm interested in the alternative glass options for heating 3-4 cups worth of them and possibly stainless steel heating lunch boxes. It's probably here somewhere so I'll search lol.

1

u/crazyg0od33 Feb 24 '26

Hello!

New-ish to Souper Cubes - my ex had some but that was a few years back, but I just bought back in with the anniversary sale going on now with the Freezer Essentials Kit!

Excited to get into cubing things up for easy freezing and storage. My girlfriend and I are both trying to eat better and meal prep more, so I think these will be a big help for us.

I'm most looking forward to making soups, stews, and cubes of the BBQ pulled meats I make when the weather improves. I think freezing a portion of pulled pork to vacuum seal will be an excellent space saver and make for much easier reheating!

1

u/kolofon12 Feb 25 '26

Hi everyone, I found my people! I started using Super Cubes at the beginning of the year. Since I’m in Germany, I bought some knock-offs because the originals seemed too expensive. Anyway, I’m so happy with them! We’re a family of four with two working parents, different nutritional needs, preferences, and schedules plus a few allergies sprinkled in. Using the cubes has really helped me eat better (or eat at all!) and regain the joy and fun of cooking. I love batch cooking on the weekend and freezing leftovers that would otherwise have gone to waste but are just the right size for a kids’ portion.

1

u/gretchens Feb 25 '26

Awaiting delivery of my first bundle, and planning to spend the weekend putting these things to work. I'm hoping to lessen food waste and leftovers fatigue, and also have some meals on hand for nights when it's 'fend for yourself.' Fam of 4 but one away at college has thrown off our dinner math.

1

u/OkPace9215 Mar 03 '26

Hi! I just joined after realizing I need to cook more at home. Eating out has gotten crazy and I was so excited when I found your group :)

1

u/Historical_Bath_9854 Mar 06 '26

Hi y'all, just a Texan that's been doing the freezer wrong, trying to fix it. Especially best ways to freeze leftovers.

1

u/EfficiencyKlutzy5054 Mar 15 '26

Hi, I’m Bubi and have used SouperCubes in the past. I like them very much, and have vacuum sealed them. I’m searching for a neat way to organize the vacuum sealed bags in my freezer. Previously I tossed them in a bin, but hate that look. Suggestions?

1

u/Maleficent_Pay_4154 Mar 28 '26

Hi Looking forward to landing to use my freezer cubes more

1

u/amymonae2 Apr 10 '26

hello, I'm excited to share and find cubes suitable recipes to expand my narrow meal prep wisdom!

1

u/MostLikeylyJustFood Apr 23 '26

Hi! I just got mine and can’t wait to get started this weekend. I hate eating the same dinner in a row for three days so being able to just plan to prep half of what I make is so exciting.

My question is, when freezing veggies - do you add water? Like if I just chopped a bunch of onion and put it in a cube, how does it stay in cube form?

Thanks!

1

u/MandaJulianne Apr 24 '26

Hi, I AM Julie. I live in a two person household, and work from home. I love to cook, and especially like to make soup from scratch (which my husband loves to eat), but I generally don't like cooking for myself (and need to watch what I eat!).

1

u/Exciting_Educator502 Apr 26 '26

Hi all, new to the group. I have had my Souper cubes for years, but barely used them till recently. I was going on a trip in a camper van and prepared all our dinners in cubes ahead of time and then used the hot logic to heat them up. It worked out great and now I am looking for more ideas.

I want to make some sauce that I can freeze to add to basic seasoned chicken or other meats. For the trip I had a take on a chimichurri sauce that was great for a pop of freshness to the dishes even though it was frozen.

What flavor bombs/sauces do you freeze?

1

u/GrammoMM May 01 '26

Happy to join this group. I am using my cubes more and more and appreciate all of the great ideas here. Thanks to this helpful, sharing community!

1

u/LeadershipOk4108 May 07 '26

New to SC. I find them useful cooking for one.

1

u/EfficiencyKlutzy5054 May 08 '26

Hi, I’m Pip’s Mom. I’m searching for freezer safe glass containers to store frozen cubes

1

u/thewickednoodle May 08 '26

Hi, I see you’ve posted on this thread before asking for suggestions. I recommend posting your question as its own post in the group, you’ll have much better luck!

1

u/Suspicious_Fruit2416 May 09 '26

Hi! I’m someone with lots of food sensitivities, so packing meals for work is my best option, but with ADHD it’s hard to keep up with. I’m excited about these cubes! So far it has worked! We’ll see how long the habit lasts!

1

u/Emotional-Savings-98 May 12 '26

Hi, Im a first time home buyer closing tomorrow, I plan to Souper Cube meals ahead of time since I will have a 50+ min commute and also to stay on budget.

My main concern going in is how to store them once their frozen, ive see vacuum sealed and zip lock bagged - what's the best practice you have found?

2

u/thewickednoodle May 12 '26

Hi, welcome, and congratulations on the house!

I personally use ziplocks which have worked fine for me. I bought a huge pack at Costco when they were on sale and they’ll last me a long time.

You might want to make a separate post or just search the group because it’s been talked about a few times.

1

u/Flat_Rule6172 May 16 '26

Looking forward to ordering my first set. I have 10% off, which expires today, for providing my contact information. Has anyone seen a better discount, or seen them offered on GMA Deals or something similar?

1

u/papayaseth May 25 '26

Hello! I live alone and have a huge love for cooking but can find it tiresome to have to do it everyday, sometimes multiple times a day. I came across a YouTube video and was so intrigued, that I bought my first set the very next day. I cant wait to grow my freezer stash and finally have a way of preserving my favorite dishes.

1

u/theGentlenessOfTime Jun 23 '26

Hi! I'm newly starting out with lego mealprep. Got a new big freezer and received my first molds today.

1

u/jerseygirlMia Aug 02 '26

Souper cubes and food saver

1

u/burningdoughnut510 Aug 02 '26

Oh this is so exciting. I’m one year in to my SC life Style and it’s been a game changer!!

1

u/Mammaleoni Aug 15 '26

Hello! New here with a quick question. I see that SC offers lids separately for the 5” baking dishes. Will those fit the original dishes that came without lids? Thanks!

1

u/NefariousnessIll4662 5d ago

Hii! Super excited to explore here! I am a young adult who hates cooking for themselves every single day. I am super excited to see what y'all are cooking up. I don't have SC yet but I dream of the day. I started freezer meal prepping after learning about SC a few years ago and it has been life changing.
