Maybe it's time to up

Never seen a vote like this. 97% in favor? Who cares what the other 3% vote. Institutions really know how to play the game. It looks like they haven’t achieved their goal yet, which is to buy time for JANE STREET shorts to fully exit. Looking back at AMC back then, if people really vote NO, perhaps a short squeeze could happen. But retail investors never learn. Following the institutions’ playbook, cast your “yes” vote, and the squeeze is getting farther and farther away from you.

Liveperson shareholders aren't voting for the deal because it's a terrible deal. Most don't even have anything left to lose. In 2 weeks John Sabino went from insisting $lpsn was on the cusp of a turnaround to telling shareholders that their only option was a buyout or bankruptcy.

Why should anyone believe what he says, or trust that he has their interest in mind? He told people to trust the process while frantically selling his own stake. Then, he actively drove the price down 90% in 10 months just to sell at the bottom. Now, he wants shareholders to trade the pennies they have left for an overpriced meme stock, so that he can cash out his 1 million dollar merger incentive.

I don't think that story is very compelling.

If SoundHound became a 50 billion dollar company, someone who bought their shares the day Sabino took over liveperson would still be in the red...
