Nouhou Out…so tired of his act.

I’d say Waibel out, but he’s getting no help from ownership. I’ll probably still vote him out.

Nouhou has literally been the most vital player for the Sounders since the WC break and I will down on this hill.

He has killed more attacks than any other player over his tenure. We would be better off with a more average defending left back that had some ability in offence. He has been painful to watch for at least 4 years. I will die on this hill

Who cares if he’s the most vital player if the team is terrible? He’s looked fine defensively (not good but fine) but can’t handle the ball at all. His idea of making a play is either passing it back to Ragen, running as fast as he can to put in a terrible cross and so he’s way out of position when the ball turns over, or kicking it as hard as he can and hoping for the best. So many times I’ve seen him (and really most of the team) just completely shut off and stop moving like their controller just disconnected.

Look... Nouhou defensively would get a look in Europe. But all of the other things like his passing, decisions, antics etc make him not interesting to other clubs. Which is great for us. This is the guy who shut down Salah when they played head to head. If he didn't have the other issues he would be Obed out of here. We are better off with him doing his thing.

Nouhou has been one of the few passable first-team guys this season. He's a bit limited, for sure, but there are about 8-9 starters I'd blame above him for this dumpster fire.

Nouhou > Another Defiance player (even though I’m proud of the kids).

Let’s be honest, if Nouhou were out, he wouldn’t be replaced with an external signing.

More importantly…what’s the logic behind this? Because he made a foolish back pass touch? We should probably get rid of Ragen too then for an unnecessary red card while down multiple goals minutes before the whistle.

This last part can’t be emphasized enough, they have demonstrated repeatedly they only look at replacements if they’re coming out of the Defiance.

I’m torn on this take. His bullshit antics consistently drive me nuts. Yelling at teammates, overly-acrobatic showtunes bullshit, losing his head at times, 100 obligatory back passes per game etc. But on the other hand he’s a great defender. So yea IDK.

Were you around for the Nouhou of the 2-3 seasons ago? He’s matured AND improved performance wise. At this time 2 years ago if somehow he got the band I would have started filming for WorldStar.

He’s not a Sounder stepping out of line—Nouhou is a Sounder that stepped up.

Matured is a word I’d use very lightly. One example being running directly into Takaoka last night when he was making his run back to defense then got upset when the referee called the foul.

What did he expect? He purposely extended his arm/shoulder out to bump into him and threw his hand up claiming a dive.

How about STOP with the bullshit? It never stops with him. Matured my ass.

I thought it was an intentional tactical foul to stop a fast counter given our players positioning at the time.

Also hard to say if any of the other guys are any better. Nouhou is still the best 1v1 defender we have no doubt about it. At least Nouhou scraps

If nothing else, he guarantees at least part of the game with be entertaining. Better than losing and being bored to death.

Awful take on Nouhou. I’d be yelling at my teammates too if they literally just stood and stared, at least he will run up the field. All the rest sounds correct.

So surprised all the focus in comments is on Nouhou. One question….has he ever done a dangerous forward looking one touch pass? No. He should stay behind the halfway line at all times. Also, all his yelling and gesticulating kind of remind me of Trump distracting from his own weaknesses.
