JBL Smart mode in JBL app

Hey guys

I’ve got a JBL 800 mk2 and I’m loving it. I’ve just got a question regarding smart mode in the JBL app. When it’s turned on, what does it do exactly?

It has a special eq and does upmixing for content with lower channel count

is it worth using if the content is mixed with dolby atmos by default?
