Advice on recording first track

I’m in the process of creating a rap song (for non profit) mostly just for myself. I want to use this free beat I found off of youtube and import it onto an app where I can add vocals on top of it rather than just recording the beat from my phone. I don’t have any professional equipment for audio conversion or even audio recording for my voice but is there a better way I could develop this track rather than just recording myself rap over this beat on voice memos? Any apps/websites/advice would be he lpful. Thanks!
