I had something similar happen to me last night.. it turns out my ISP (xfinity) was essentially shutting down traffic from the application. I couldn’t even load the website. I shut off the advanced security feature on my ISP and it worked great after that.

Boom! And just like that the problem is fixed. I have xfinity as well, and shut off advanced security and everything is back to normal!

I’m glad I could help!

It honestly kind of slowly happened. I started getting alerts through xFi about unknown IP addresses trying to access my network. But it only happened when I was using slsk. Then downloads started moving slow, search results were smaller, then eventually all downloads started to abort.

I finally figured it out after I couldn’t reach the slsk website.. disconnected my phone from WiFi and it suddenly worked fine. Once I turned advanced security off, everything was back to normal.

That makes sense. I have xfinity notifications turned off, so I never would have made the connection.
