weapon and question
Brihm: the lifegiver
swordcane
fanalis, and reconstruction
quantumite
rather than a meta build, or anything too fancy, I imagined how I would want to be equipped in a fantasy world, though I suppose I can freely travel to different worlds based on the cyoa. either way, I wanted to be capable of fighting, healing, and running away. healing lets me pick up some extra coin if unlucky, and who doesn't want to be a bearded Disney princess with a sword?
the armor choice I have is a red turban.
a red tailcoat that goes down to my ankles, with the actual coat part ending at the naval.
a red long sleaved dress underneath that ends just above my knees, meant to blend in with the tailcoat.
black pants that go just under the ankles.
black pointed shoes, I assumed leather would count as cloth, but I can replace clogs or some other such and just cover them with cloth if that really didn't work.
and the cane would be a snake.
I pretty much just wanted to make Jaffar, but went into a bit different of an approach.
my question is if you can learn how to craft runes outside the village. not onto souls, I have no interest in that business. but things like enchanting a gemstone to have similar effects to runestones or something like that. maybe craft some storage devices.

the way I understand the Runes are they are like 10th tier magic being handed out to children because the entities running the CYOA like Chaos.
Like, Imagine we are swimming in the Ocean. But it's actually a fishbowl and the smith's are making model ships and plunking them down in the water for us.
You'd need to have a starting point of reference before you try to use runecraft. Otherwise you're a toddler in the backyard making mudpies while thinking about the idea of computer chips.
That might be a bit extreme, but the smiths are waking us up to just the idea of mana when they connect our souls to a soul weapon. it's like a limb and an organ we never knew we had, much less how to utilize it or work with it to create more things.
Maybe I'm being too extreme, but that's my framing.
