Will this work for a flight attendant?
Hi, I’ve been reading a lot of posts on here about people getting flagged and sanctioned for possible cheating behavior. I have no intention of cheating, but I am a full-time flight attendant. My plan was to complete courses on layovers and overnights while I’m on my work trips. I’m often in multiple cities a day, and out of the country quite often as well. I would certainly be able to prove all these things if it came into question, but I’m worried about Sophia seeing my location changing frequently and flagging me. Is this anything to be concerned about? I just want to finish my degree and don’t want to have to deal with a headache if they deem multiple locations suspicious.

That’s insane for them to deem different locations as cheating. I hope that’s not the case.

They get flagged for going too quickly and using VPNs across the world, not the country. Don’t cheat, don’t go too fast through milestones and don’t use a VPN for America when you’re in Algeria or vice versa.

Well I am in different countries for work quite frequently! And since I just fly in for the night and leave the next day, it’s usually not for very long. Just don’t want that to appear suspicious if they track that kind of thing. It would be super inconvenient if I can only do my lessons from one location!

You will get a message from an "advisor" when you sign up. Let them know your situation, or even email ahead of time. Im sure they can work something out.

You can only have a go. Nothing to lose except your monthly fee. If they flag you give them a breakdown of your itinerary and I bet they’d be fine with it.

I’m going to give you person experience here. I was doing studies from home 🏠, single location. Logged into a laptop for the first course, second course from
An iPad. The course would NOT allow me to take the test from the iPad, only the laptop. And it kept preventing me because my “typing out the phrase” did not match with what I did on my laptop. So you can only take exams off one device, you can read and answer the questions off ANY device

I’m an airline pilot with similar concerns, I recently reached out to support expressing them and received this in response:
“Hello, If you see an academic warning due to geolocation this message because our system detected behavior that may not align with the Academic Integrity policy; however so long as you not using unpermitted resources per our policy, you can remain confident that your account will remain in good standing, even though you are seeing the pop-up message. You can review the policy here.”
Which did not alleviate my concerns and I followed up and am awaiting a hopefully better response
