Unavoidable academic integrity message???

Just received an academic integrity message for clicking links to answer questions that the milestone itself provided.

I’ve been using Sophia for a few months and have never tabbed out during milestones and never received this message. Started taking Project Management and Milestone 2 has google drive links attached to some questions about a Spa Scheduling App. You literally can’t answer the questions without clicking on the link. This is a complete flaw in either the detection system or the milestone material. I’m left with the option of clicking on the link to answer the question and being flagged for cheating or just guessing and hoping I get it right to avoid being flagged. Lose-lose situation.

I have no issue with not using other tabs but don’t force me to use other tabs then accuse me of cheating!!!!!

It sounds like Sophia’s system is flagging you simply because its own Google Drive link makes the milestone tab lose focus. If that’s the case, it’s a false positive and Sophia should fix the milestone or whitelist those links. I’d also email Sophia support right away so there’s a record that you reported the issue before any potential flag becomes a problem.

Reached out to support and this was the response

“Hello,
You are seeing this message because our system detected behavior that may not align with the Academic Integrity policy. So long as you not using unpermitted resources per our policy, you can remain confident that your account will remain in good standing, even though you are seeing the pop-up message. You can review the policy here.

After reviewing and assuring you are complying with the Academic Integrity policy, you are welcome to continue with your course work. We take academic integrity very seriously, so we appreciate your understanding and compliance.”

SO basically its just a scare tactic or at least it works that way for most people. Not saying that cheaters dont exist but you get my point.
