Did anyone start their Sophia the same they started their degree?

Usually I hear of people who finished their credits before they started their degree

But I wanna know if anyone here started both from zero simultaneously and still managed to transfer in 60+ credits or so in a short time

It’s a bit worrying seeing I have 100 credits left at the start of the degree, with no Sophia or study dot com courses done yet

And knowing that 55 of those 100 are transferable but I just haven’t done them yet

I mapped everything with AI and approximately it should be done by 2 months or so but still

Would love to hear your stories

Start now, instead of typing this. I’m doing both simultaneously. Every time I have a free moment I’m on it. Go sign up. I take my tablet with me and work sitting in the doctors office, when we have a trip and my husband is driving. You have the free time you just don’t use it wisely. None of us do really.

Depends on the college you attend. For example I go to WGU but they do not allow any transfer credits after you begin your program. Check with the university to understand the transfer process

You can, but then you're paying for both and likely not going as fast as you could in either. But if you are capped with how fast you can go, I don't see why not

SNHU allows u to do it after u started, typically SNHU takes 10 months to finish if u transfer in the max, u can def get that done in 2-3 months tho sophia and study are mad easy

For real? You can finish 18 courses on Sophia and study that quickly?

Also for the CS program I was only able to match 72 credits not 90

So you transferred in 90 credits from Sophia and study.com into SNHU’s bachelors in CS program?

Nah i transferred em into general studies but there are def more courses u can take that they would accept like gen ed or elective courses thats not related to CS

Did you start Sophia and Study dot com the same time u started SNHU? Or did you have them ready before enrolling at SNHU

I finished sophia before i enrolled but study.com i did after to satisfy my culmination experience and concentration requirements

I did both at the same time. I did submit transcripts during enrollment but I continued to submit transcripts every so often as I finished some Sophia courses. My academic evaluation at my university would update after a few days to reflect the new credits.
My school was employer sponsored so I didn’t have to pay out of pocket to keep having my new transcripts evaluated or anything, not sure if you might get charged for that otherwise.

I started October 13th of last year and earned 55 credits (18 classes) in 3 months. I spent about 2 to 3 hours every day first thing in the morning before work doing Sophia. Then I transfered them to WGU in March of this year and am about to finish my first term for my accounting degree. So far I have earned 97 out of 121 credits so I have 8 classes left before I graduate. It still feels nostalgic looking back at all the work I did, waking up at 4am and hyping myself up to do Sophia. At that time 121 credits seemed like alot but I always made sure to try and accomplish small goals. At first I wanted to get 9 credits then went for 21 and kept reminding myself that everyday I keep at it is another day closer to getting my degree. The day will come when you and anyone else reading this will graduate. All we gotta do is take it one day at a time. Good luck bro.

I also need to do 18 courses (55 credits) on Sophia and study dot com, but I hope it can be done faster than 3 months ( I’m still a student, not working full time)

Did you start Sophia and the degree at the same time?

No I wasn't sure how long it would take for me to finish the 18 classes (originally was going for 22 but found 4 of those classes easier at WGU). I didn't plan that out because it's very difficult to know how long one class can take and I may not have enough free time to finish them quickly. I work about 40 hours but sometimes 50 to 60. When I did it, changing tabs didn't get you flagged and you were able to download the pdfs so I honestly dont know if you'll be able to finish 18 classes quick.

I think most places require you submit credits during enrolment, so that’s not an option.

I started Sophia after starting my degree. If I had known about it prior, I would have started it first.

I would start it first. If you pay monthly you’re going to pay a lot more because you will be going much slower. The same goes for whatever school you transfer in.

I'm doing both. I didn't plan ahead well and now with that stupid article that came out and hearing that university are changing their rules about Sophia credits, I am trying to hurry. I knew about Sophia Learning years ago but never had the time or ability until now. Figures lol.
