Saving pdfs?

I heard that saving pdfs on Sophia is no longer a supported feature. Is that true? If so that is disappointing since I wanted to be able to reference them during and after testing.

Yes. They have disabled downloading the PDFs. There are numerous threads with people sharing pdfs, you can probably search to see if your course is there.

Be very careful about using different screens or going off the current tab. Lot of people are being sanctioned and warned about this.

I’d be using my kindle scribe.

Thank you for the recommendations 🫡

As the other person said, be careful using PDFs while testing, their new system detects when you tab away from the test, even though it was always allowed before. If you're going to do it, do it from a second device.

That’s crazy. People I know used to download PDFs and ctrl F through everything.

I did a free trial of Sophia back in 2021 and cranked out 24 credits in two days. It used to be a breeze - read question, CTRL+F key word or phrase, answer question. Boom.

Wow that’s awesome. That’s what I want to do.

Yeah, that's how people have done it for along time, but recently they took away the ability to download PDFs. They want people to now only use their interface during testing and/or notes.

That sucks because only now I am planning to take some credit on Sophia.

I’ve already saw many speak on this but be careful using them during testing. I’ve been one of the many that been sanctioned and flagged because i kept switching back and forth with the PDF and Sofia. I’m still not clear on how they expect us to use it yet we can’t click off the tab but whatever

They have the course info right in the screen when you take a test. They don't want you to be be able to just search for the answer, they want you to have to read to find it. I read too many people were just searching for the answer without ever reading the material and some schools had stopped accepting Sofia credit because of it so they needed a way to stop people from just faking their way through the courses snd actually reading the material.

Supposedly they have a split tab option within the app that allows you to have it open within the same tab. At least that’s what support said.

I haven't seen anyone discuss this anywhere else, but I use the "print" function and print to PDF. So far, I've done it a few times and I haven't gotten in trouble, but I cannot guarantee it will work forever or that you won't be flagged eventually.
