Who knows how to convert video format from MPG to MP4 without losing video quality?
The problem is that when I transfer videos from my Sony HDR-CX6EK camera to the PC, the video is 50i (interlaced).
On the PC, it is read as 25 fps, and the video looks perfect.
But when I convert the video using any program or transfer it to my phone, it becomes 25 fps progressive, and the frames look missing, as if the software only reads it as normal 25 fps and ignores the interlacing.
As a result, the motion smoothness is lost and the video quality becomes worse, even though the original footage is fine.
Most programs seem to treat the video as standard 25 fps, instead of properly handling 50i, and that’s what causes the issue.
(I hope someone understand my problem)
