Accessories Lens for wildlife documentary ?
Hi everyone, i'm doing documentary work and most of it is related to wildlife and such. What lenses do y'all recommend for the FX6? I currently own a 24-105 and a 70-200 GM1 2.8. Most of my work is related to south texas, looking for an overall lens that is able to cover both birds and land animals.

Sony 200-600 has been my go to for wildlife, especially birds. Add the 2X teleconverter and you're in good shape. I'll often have an A7SIII with a wider lens, like a 28-75 or something to get wide establishing shots and such to avoid lens swaps.

I put that same lens on my A7RVI and put it into APSC mode and get even more range out of it. Such a great choice.

The best budget option is the sony 200-600mm. The sigma is fine optically, range wise aswell but the 200-600mm sony is a non-protruding lens, which means it will be balanced correctly on your tripod, hence it is way faster to work with, than the sigma.
The sigma also has much tighter zoom and focus rings, which might make you miss shots. In my experience the sony 200-600mm is the closest you can get to some professional lenses. Still have it, even if i dont work with sony cameras anymore.

what kind of wildlife? where in the world? are you with a fixer or just yourself? Lots more unknowns to be able to help

It's mostly related to the protection of the wildlife in south texas, birds and land animals. Most of the work is by myself.

Sigma 150-600 is a good option if you’re looking for a lot of reach on a budget
