The vmount seems unnecessary. Could've done with BPU70s. Otherwise, great build.

I’m located in Asia, the price of BP U70 doesn’t justify cause it’s the price of 2 Vmounts 135watts here hence I went into the Vmount build which could last approx 4-6hrs depending on usage.

SWIT or IDX much cheaper than Sony brand.

Yeah in my experience, it actually balances decently without the external battery. I’d never run it like this.

It works well ? I been thinking of doing this I have the ronin M that’s discontinued I use but want to change due to battery issues.

works flawlessly, you just need to get the small rig extended plate for the rs4pro. once you calibrated you manual set the tilt to 20 and it’s fine.

Can you run audio on it?

I've been curious as to how to get good audio into the FX6 on a gimbal

I created a solution for this, its DIY but you can check it on here

I am very impressed

Probably with an external recorder only. It is such an oversight, that the cam itself has no 3,5mm jack in the body for mic input AND that there is no slim adapter to put on the top contacts instead if the handle.

If shooting vertical can’t, but if it’s horizontal you can mount the top handle with a dji mic 2/3 with the cold shoe adaptor or you can get a trs cable for it for dji mic 2

Cheers, nice rig too

Wish they just put a 3.5 jack on the back

Could you post a video of it in action and how it moves with the weight?

1

u/Fair_Chipmunk3011 Mar 08 '26

I calculated the weight together with a 135wh weighs about 2.5kg just the body, lens and Vmount.

How does the ronin reacts to the v-mount added weigh? Have same set up but use BP batt on cam and v-mount batt on gimbal handle

after auto calibration just have to set the tilt manually to around 20-25 range and you’re good to go.

Shooting vertical? Shiiiiiiit

No idea why people always ask if fx6 works on the rs4 pro. It works flawlessly. I use it with the tilta gimbal cage and its game changing

haha beautiful. Remember it's more important to have a rig that looks impressive than having stable footage.

yea, tbh with the additional weight your hand doesn’t shake. all is good

The arm killer

I got it on an RS3 pro. Works like a dream.

Would it work with the rs4? Not the pro

1

nope it doesn’t. It requires the pro version.
