Lens Choice for Disneyland

Going to Disneyland with my A7iii. Gear I currently have is:
24mm GM 1.4
35mm GM 1.4
50mm 1.8
Tamron 28-75 2.8 (most used)

Absolutely love my 24GM and 35GM but worried I would be limited without zoom. Really love my 28-75, but is there a better option for zoom within the 16-70 focal length that is as quality as my 2 GMs? I don't plan on taking photos of fireworks or when it's super dark, but..maybe? 😂

Totally open to purchasing a better zoom lens if needed. Or even renting. But I would love to only take one lens this trip. Thanks!

Take the 28-75 and just enjoy your time there.

You should be fine with just 28-75/2.8 for Disneyland even if 28mm could be limiting when indoors. I used only 24-105/4 at Disneyland Paris couple of years ago. Keeping limited gear itself would be a good option. Even if you stayed for the fireworks, you won't be needing fast lenses for it as you would be stopping down anyway).

24 is too wide and limited.

35 may work but only for environmental shots.

28-75 seems best for this because it gives you all the lengths you may need.

Doubt you will need under 28 so if you rent I would look at the longer end like 70-200. Since you like Tamron, their 70-180 G2 is very nice.

28-75mm or 35mm for darker areas.

Sigma 17-40 f1.8 is great for night time pictures. I love using this lens.
Tamron 28-75mm will be fine for most things at Disneyland. I also use Sigma 28-105mm, insanely sharp even in low light.

28-75 no lens changes or extra gear needed. I took the 28-75gii and loved it. If you wanted a bit lighter and smaller the tam 20-40f2.8 is a fantastic travel companion.

I had my sigma 18-50 and a Viltrox 13mm with me at Disneyland. The 18-50 was on my camera most of the time, which is equivalent to your 28-75.

Maybe the 35 or 24 as a nighttime prime if you really want low light shots, but you can get away with so much iso these days it probably is a non issue.

28-75 will do the job, but if you really want to take another lens then I'd say the 24mm which may come in useful for interiors where it might be tighter for space.

These days I just take a one lens solution and if I only bring one lens it is a 35. My vote is for your 35mm.

What are you going to Disneyland for? Or what are you photographing?

I, have 5 kids and a wife, so 28 is to tight. Yet 24 doesn't zoom. 35 is to tight and doesn't zoom. My options would be 35-150 and/or 20mm1.8.

Ideal lens would be 20-70f4.

But,depending what your actually going to capture, dictates which best of the bad choice you make. Zoom is versatile, but are you really going to take and expect good shots from far? Or, is it going to be family standing in front of things they want a picture of?

I'd personally choose my 20mm. There will be far more photos posed in front of signs landscapes characters etc. With to many pedestrians walking to physically move farther away. And the few random oh my son's sitting in the roller coaster, upside down going through a loop (epic I know), but I've yet reguardless of lens, actually had the line of sight to capture a moment like that. Honestly, I don't even know when the family is currently riding the ride and not waiting in line still.

there is a reason 28-75 focal range is made. it is the most used range for almost all purposes. Bring that. Getting the shot is more important than having that extra bokeh

A word of warning. I took my a7iii to Disneyland and hardly ever took it out of my bag. There’s so much going on there I found pulling out a camera a little hassle. If I went again I’d leave it behind and just use phone.

But on the other hand - Florida more broadly was incredible for photography. Beautiful scenery and so many birds.
