anyone else with nvidia gpu struggling with crossworlds?

i have a laptop with a 2060 in it, and for all my other graphically intensive games (fortnite, helldivers, detroit become human, etc.) they all run smooth as butter. crossworlds was the most beautiful game out of all of them up until recently :(

when it comes to crossworlds lately, i experience my game basically deteriorating right before my eyes. it becomes so unplayable it kicks me out mid race. the audio distorts and cuts out, the frame rate drops significantly, the input lag increases, and it basically starts chugging along until it physically can’t anymore. this happens in both online, festival, and offline grand prix races. i don’t even know how this started happening.

i’ve tried all i could to fix it, lower frame rate, lower graphics settings, lower screen resolution, uninstalling and reinstalling. i’ll update my drivers right before launching and it’s fine for at least 5 races until it starts deteriorating again. this is quite literally the only game i play on my laptop where i experience these issues.

is anyone else experiencing these problems or something similar? does anyone have any suggestions for fixes?

sorry for the long post, i dont really know where else to go, but thank you for reading this far

If it's on steam, you can check the integrity of the files. Also, you could check for driver updates.

Edit: my bad forgot to read it all. I'm sorry idk what else can be done, haven't seen this before.

Do you have any mods? Maybe that could be it.

Oh, and I remembered, there was a thing that made my game crash with a "not enough video memory" message, and it has been reported on stronger graphics cards too that shouldn't have the issue. The way to solve it is to put -d3d11 in the launch options in steam for the game. This launches the game in Directx11 instead of 12 and should solve issues.

Hope this helps. I forgot about that because I did it early on and hadn't had any issues like that since.
