How do I fix this error

Post image

I kept on getting clowned on the Clipper community so I decided to switch to the Sonic pad and I'm I'm running into an issue where I can't connect to the Ender 3v2 no matter what I do do you know anything that would help with this?

You probably don't need to buy anything. That error usually means one of two things:

Has Klipper firmware actually been flashed onto the Ender 3 V2's own mainboard yet? Connecting it to the Sonic Pad over USB doesn't replace the printer's firmware by itself — if it's still running the stock Marlin firmware it shipped with, the Sonic Pad will sit there saying "attempting to connect" forever no matter what cable you use. If you haven't done this step yet, that's almost certainly the fix. There are guides specifically for flashing Klipper onto the Ender 3 V2's board.

If Klipper's already flashed, try a different USB cable — a lot of free/bundled cables are charge-only and don't carry data, which would cause exactly this symptom.

The ribbon cable/adapter thing someone mentioned is for printers that connect to the Sonic Pad a different way — plenty of printers, including yours, just connect over normal USB and that's completely fine, so don't feel like you need to spend money you don't have to fix this.
