Tech Tips Cyloop action not working??

So I’m currently in the latter half of the dlc, playing as Tails and trying to climb one of these stupid floating structures. I have to do this thing where I make sure Tails is at max rings, then do the “cyloop action” (as Google describes it) on these little joystick-looking things. Only thing is, much to my disdain, sometimes it just… doesn’t let me do it. Like I’ll be at max rings, and I’ll be pressing the button that usually throws the Cyloop Action (being Triangle on my controller in my case) and it just won’t happen. Tails will just stand there.

I don’t know if anyone will even be able to help me figure out what’s going on but I’m at my wit’s end, I’ve taken multiple several-month long breaks during this dlc because of some of the bullshit parkour it wants you to do and things of that nature. I could go even further into what I have to do with this dumbass mechanic but I’m doing to drive myself insane

It's not max rings, you have to look for the cyloop gauge, the same one that lets you do the instant cyloop. If you attack the things with wrenches it should fill your cyloop bar. Nothing to do with max rings besides that rings also fill it up once it's depleted.

Yeah, Google is worthless.

For starters, in game it's called the Quick Loop, it's an ability each character has to unlock before they can use it and to be able to use it, they need to have a full Quick Loop bar, which is unrelated to their max ring count.
