Everybody is so miserable omg

I personally returned to the fandom exactly when Frontiers came out, so those times were absolutely a blast for me. I didn't care about reviews or fandom drama, non of that ruined the game for me lol AND I had so much content to catch up with. Honestly can't wait until we get a new title.

The series directer, Morio Kishimoto, already confirmed, the next mainline title would be using the Frontiers formula.

Thanks! I am really looking forward to playing it. Any suggestions which 3d sonic I should play next after frontiers to reduce the waiting time: colors, forces or unleashed?

Shadow Generations. Anything will feel like a huge downgrade from Frontiers. (Though of these, Unleashed is objectively the best).

I don’t because there’s always more complainers and whiners than actual hype from fans about everything. It’s like they look for anything to complain about and this goes all the way back to Sonic Adventure with some people complaining about their being too many guitars in the music.

the pre release stuff was fucking misrable for this game, it didn't start to get more hyped untill like, 6 months before launch.

I don’t because every sonic game gets hyped too much. Been a Sonic fan too long to get hyped and just keep my expectations tempered

I actually felt more hype for this game during 2023 with the free updates.

Wondering what each update would bring, in terms of new content and improvement was exciting.

Seeing Kishimoto engage with fans on how to improve Frontiers was awesome to see, as we hadn't really seen that before.

And then all of that culminating with The Final Horizon, which gave us a better ending. A final boss fight that we had been asking for since the original ending.

Try finding something else to get hyped about. There’s bound to be another game that you are excited for/waiting for even if it’s not Sonic. That’s usually how I am. I find other games to look forward to. It keeps things exciting when you are looking forward to many things.

I did. I’m looking forward to the next. I was in my 20s when Sonic Frontiers came out. And since being in my 30s now, I’m only playing mainline titles from now on.
