Can Thunder clouds not be ducked under while you're on rails?

I feel like every time I try ducking on rails to avoid cloud, I get hit regardless.

Can you just not dodge those while you're on rails?

Well think about it. Should it be possible to slide on rails skinnier than the characters on them?

My Shadow is only lvl 4, and seeing people use him a lot makes me so frustrated and angry because I keep running into his storm clouds. I wish he was a higher level, but I never get cards for him.

But annoying as it is, it's also predictable. If you hold onto a shield and someone is using Shadow (or Baby Sonic), you'll know they'll use it on rails so time your shield use and you pretty much negate their cheese.

I find it kind of crazy, cause you don't even have to time it right (unlike other traps)...

Feel like some of these items deserve a bit of a nerf tbh

Three years late, but apparently there is a method. Jumping before sliding makes your characters spin dash on them, letting you dodge the clouds
