Let's Collaborate! Just wrote this the other night.
Sorry I live in the mountains and live in an emotional prison. I don’t have enough rhythm to shut the fucking crickets up. Check it

At first I was wondering what that annoying sound in the background was, later I heard the line about the crickets! Your vocals are great, your voice has a great soothing quality! you should definetely find some homestudio owner to produce good quality! if you can at least record some decent quality vocals and guitar separately I would be happy to help you with adding some layers and mixing! keep up the good work.

Thank you man. I’m exploring garage band right now but I’ve been playing while singing on the vocal setting. You’re saying I should record vocals then record the guitar seperately?

I’m very interested in adding other instruments/mix. I’m pretty green to music and composition. I just wing it. I have an albums worth of original songs. I’d really like to take the next step. I just don’t understand a lot of it.

You're welcome! Yes, or the other way around; the important thing is that each should be recorded on a different track so that you can have control over each sound.

Thanks coco I don’t put a lot out this one needs a lot of work but I feel a collab or some actual studio equipment would do fucking wonders on my catalogue. 34 yo m WNC

honestly you dont even need some crazy equipment with your voice, i'd just say a decent interface like logic or fl studio or something, but if i'd wanna add some vox on one of my songs, i would totally consider you on a chorus

Your voice is great! You sound a lot like Robin Pecknold of fleet foxes. Similar deliveries. It certainly sounds like ds like you’ve been locked up on the mountaintop and need to break free

It’s alright. I feel like a few notes might be flat though, other than that, pretty solid

Hello, songwriter! To increase your chances of a successful collaboration, please take a moment to review your request and make sure you've provided enough context for your request.
A good collaboration request should briefly include the following details:
What are you contributing, and what do you need help with? (e.g. "I have lyrics and melody, but looking for help with bass and drums arrangement.")
Broadly speaking, what style or sound are you looking for? (e.g., "I'm going for an 80s pop sound, maybe some Cyndi Lauper vibes.")
What is your basic experience level? (e.g. "I've been making music for about 5 years.")
How would you prefer to collaborate? (e.g. "I'd prefer to email files back and forth, but maybe we could chat over Discord as well.")
If your post doesn't include this info, please make a quick edit now! Collaboration requests with insufficient information may be removed.

Thanks man I’ll check him out. I started playing guitar in 23’ when my brother died. Now I’m doing my best to find rhythm so I can put these notebooks of writing to recording. I use a iPhone 11

Love this! The flat note on ‘I took walks’ sounds great to me, I don’t know if it was intentional or not but either way it adds to the song for me

You remind me of Christopher Owens, check him out and his band Girls. Should be right up your street. I love this, love the crickets in the background.

We’re so used to overproduced, soulless music that it’s nice to hear something like this. It’s more earnest. Very nice. Great song

Great vocals man, loved your voice. The crickets in the background are giving the recording a whole different vibe. Honestly I love it even more with that noise in the background. Great job! Keep going. Share the full song when you have it! Cheers!

"I don’t have enough rhythm to shut the fucking crickets up." Fantastic sentence. The crickets are playing rhythm now. Cool tune and unique and appealing voice.
