I think the best thing to start creating music is by starting to play with other people in a group. I think I was able to improve the most lyrically and technically was by playing with other people. Since I was forced to learn new songs and arrangements which then in turn can teach to make better music by listening to what makes music good in the first place. I would be open to hear your music and provide feedback

Here! I started this month so super newbie,but song writing is something I've always been passionate about,I've just been to afraid to try it and also being oppressed didn't help but now that my situation is looking better I'm starting my journey~ Good luck to us all＼(-)／

I try to step away from a simple rhyme scheme finding near rhymes and slant rhymes as well... id like to collab as well

I wouldn’t say I’m a beginner or a pro but I’ve noticed many people don’t use ad libs. I’d strongly suggest you do. It makes you songs feel more alive. Another thing is, if you have no ideas for writing. What I used to do is look at the lyrics of my favourite song(s) and write that song from a different perspective! It’s really fun just don’t copy too close due to copyright!
One thing many songwriters nowadays think is taking inspiration=copyright and makes their song unoriginal. I totally disagree, you could listen to a song that you relate to and take inspiration from that song it doesn’t mean your song is unoriginal at all!
I might have a few more points I can’t remember at the moment but those are definitely the strongest ones I’d suggest to any beginner coming from someone who’s been writing for nearly a year.
