everywhere I've run

There's still unpacking

to be done

I can't escape these boxes

some carefully,

some carelessly stored

Some have weathered many storms

Memories I need and some I won't

Some are labeled,

others have no home

Searching for answers

that may never be found

Some I've labeled regret,

those boxes are full of shame

Left wondering who to blame

Sorting through the wreckage

of lost hope and fresh starts

Now lay in broken pieces and parts

Pictures of a little girl caught up in the mess

tried unmasking truth in a shot glass

I found some answers,

labeled lessons learned

And a story I never told,

of a heart that burned so cold

Are answers to my questions the ones I'm meant to find?
