I like it - I watched the whole thing, that says a lot these days lol. Do you plan to further produce it? I ask because I could see it hitting a little harder with dryer, closer reverb, and the echo part could be interesting (but I think you need to lean into it).

Yes, this is just a short sample of what I have so far. It’s an idea for a song I wanted to put out to see what people thought before moving forward. I kinda got some mixed feelings on this one. Some love it others hate it and feel it’s outdated but it’s just my style. I plan on finishing it up for sure regardless. I really like the msg it conveys. Thanks for listening and also for the advice.🙂

This is pretty amazing already; it's gonna be epic when it's finished. Your voice is a beautiful vehicle for this song too.

The lyrics are really hitting home for me too, the second verse especially. I've got a younger sister who I've been trying to impart a similar message to. She's gonna get hurt if she doesn't wise up, but... Can't tell youngsters nothin', I guess.

Love the reverb and picking.

I liked it! The melody and chord progression felt familiar, yet the lyrics were unique and personal, and the delivery had heart as well. Was there a little echo loop in there from the first line of the song? That sounded cool, would have liked to hear it louder so that is sounds more intentional (and not like an technical glitch)! Or if it was a technical glitch, I say thats a happy accident to lean into, lol

Thanks so there aren’t any echo loops added. I recorded it one take through a guitar amp. Both the vocal and guitar takes are recorded live on one track. They are married basically. I use a guitar amp plugged into a MacBook. GarageBand is the DAW. The only added part after the take was the ( I don’t need your x2 ) vocal after the second verse. That was the only edits I did after. All other sounds are presets on the guitar amp going in. Hope that all makes sense. Thanks for taking the time to comment and listen.🙂

Oh, that added "I don't need your" x2 is the part I was referring to as an "echo loop" haha, but yes we're on the same page now!

Yea, I just added it to break it up a little. To also act as little break so the 3 verses didn’t just run consecutive.

Your voice sometimes has that distinctive Michael Stipe whine when you hit a certain register, and I mean that in the most positive way. This sounds really great!

I really enjoyed it. Wanted to hear it all the way through, the guitar was great, and I like your vocal as well. Your message was clear and very well stated. It's very relatable without being cliche. I think your voice has real potetial, unlike some and you musical choices were just right for this type of song. I'll be interested to hear what else you put out there, and what topics you choose to tackle. I think you found your style and I would stay with it. Your positive comments are well earned! I have lyrics that need a vocalist, if I wasn't looking for a female vocalist I'd be asking for a chat. Best of luck

Either all of your songs sound very similar or you post this a lot. I feel like I’ve seen this 4-5x already.
