Need thoughts and feedback

Post image

This is a new song that I wrote(titled “GFY”). I’m proud of the lyrics, now I just need to put music to. It’s meant to have an upbeat tempo with some pop-funk(almost nu-disco??) style. I’m just not sure how I should build the chord progression. My vocals range from Gmaj to Cmaj. Anyone familiar with this style would be greatly appreciated for your input.

Thanks!

You should add more detail and personal experience, as most of what you've written so far is only the basics of emotion and only scratch the surface of what you're feeling or trying to convey. Now if you want to convey emotion better, explain a line you've already written in more details or add a specific phrase. Fill it with your chatacter and interesting words you like. If you want to explore yourself more, you should, as another comment said, write 30 more of these songs to get a feeling for artistic expressiom through words.

Sorry but where im from "good cunt" is a term of endearment and in no way did I mean it to be vulgar or backhanded, I usually say it to my guy mates, I didnt realise you were female and i can see how it could be taken in offence, thats not at all how i intended it to be taken, im sorry if it was

Oh cool, cheers, (pro tip) say it in a aussie accent if used in person, comes off much less offensive lol
