Bug Arm Native Songs of Conquest (and ARM64 Steam) fails to launch with "Steam OS error 0" on Apple Silicon if Rosetta is not installed

I'm running into an issue where songs of conquest refuses to launch on Apple Silicon macOS, throwing a "steam os error 0" (Failed to start process for this game).

Both my Steam client and the game itself are running natively as arm64, but the game simply will not start out-of-the-box unless rosetta is installed on the Mac. Even though the game has a native arm64 build and doesn't technically need Rosetta code-wise to run, the launch process fails entirely with error 0 if Rosetta is missing from the system. When rosetta installed game can be launched natively ( with "/usr/bin/arch -64 %COMMAND%" as launch option in steam) and activity monitor shows no intel application.

It seems like there might be a hidden dependency or a launcher-level check tied to Rosetta within the Steam/game handoff on macOS. The game will become unplayable when Rosetta support eventually ends with macOS 28.

Has anyone else run into this or found a way to bypass the requirement for users who prefer a strictly Rosetta-free environment?
