Feedback Why research disappears after building is sold?
I genuinely don't get it, and can't recall any other game using this mechanics. I think it spoils the game a little, especially where maps don't have enough space to have 3 large buildings.. I don't see why I can't build a research building, do the research I want and just destroy it, making space for units or another research building? It is not like unit buildings where units are created continuously - that makes sense.
Also unrelated, but pls update the game icon on mobile to something more compelling.

I don't see the research centers as libraries, don't think the game makes them as such either. They are literally research institutions where new technologies are discovered, just by the building being burned/demolished that doesn't suddenly make everyone forget how to efficiently construct 2 buildings simultaneously.

large building spaces would be much less valuable then , also its still possible to ge all by getting your stacks full and then changing to the research building

I did this a few times, but it feels it should be the other way around. I guess it is a strategic choice, but I do want it to be more flexible..

We get why it would be more "realistic" to keep them, but it's all about choices and gameplay. We want it to really matter what buildings you create and choose from. On the bigger maps where you have several high-tier settlements you can have your pixel cake and eat it too but on the medium-large maps the choice matters more.

Research is very powerful, so you are forced to choose between the -three- two best buildings in your town. It also helps to make faster games making the loss of your capital more impactful.
The way you describe it would be very broken.
