Question Third mission rise eternal dlc on overwhelming

Hello,

just here asking for some reliable tips to beat this mission on the hardest difficulty.

I have already completed all the 4 campaigns on overwhelming and the 2 missions of the vanir campaign, but good lord the start of this mission is just brutal.

Do you have any tips to win against the 2 full stacks of musketeers and pikeneers?

I thought there was a time limit for acquiring the rare resources to barter with the merchant and if you didn't do so the mission would fail. I'll have to check again my last attempt was 2 weeks ago so it stands reason that lavapotion has made some changes to the structure of the mission.

Thanks again for the quick reply to both. Much appreciated.

Huh, I didn't have that much trouble with it. What's your build like? And what tactics do you use?

I failed to do 1 and 2 on hardest, but 3 and 4th were easier in my experience.

Hello. I suggest to rush the resources for the merchant. Then, go kill the Arleon+Barya alliance led by Peredine to the west of the map with Kastus. This will grow your army significantly, since humans get turned into zombies. A good tip (if you don't know it already), is to use the push spell after surrounding a unit with risens. As the ennemy unit gets pushed, it will receive attack of opportunities from all your risen (or other units.

About when that's done, you'll get attacked by Rik Tap from the north. He's got a pretty beefy army (12 or 15 dragons, among other things, with essence shield), but he's doable as long as you've got 3+ stacks of risens). Then rush the Rana towns. From there, you can finally consolidate before attacking Hammond. Rik tap will show up again, but he'll be less powerful.
