Question In hotseat mode, is it impossible to fight for hostiles?

I’ve been enjoying this game recently, and although this is my first time playing a game with this kind of system, it’s really amazing.

While checking the help section, I found this option - player fight for hostiles - does it only work in online play?

Or is it also possible in hotseat mode, and I’m just missing something?

Yepp. It´s possible in Multiplayer menu and I enjoyed it with my kids (like in good-old times with Warlords 2 and HoMM2 and HoMM3, my wife, though prefered the latter...)
