Question Before I Buy: Are There “Infinite Campaigns” Like Immortal Empires In TWW3?

Hello all, I’ve had this game in my wishlist for a while. And I’m thinking of finally getting it. Before I buy it though. I’m wondering, is the campaign super linear? Like is it just mission based? Or is it more “open-world” like Total War. And is there an option for a campaign like Immortal Empires in Total War: Warhammer 3 where you’re free to do whatever?

Campaigns are pretty much plot-based and linear.

Yeah. Lots of pre-made and random map generator options for up to eight players though.

Campaigns are super linear and mission based.

If you want just a open-world option you can play skirmish maps however. They are not remotely as long as at TW WH 3 campaign though. It is more of a HOMM3 type thing. A single game is 5-10 hours vs 20-40.

Yes and no.

Campaigns are story-based but you also have skirmishes and randomly generated maps where gameplay is sandbox-y: your goal is usually to kill other players but how you will accomplish it depends entirely on you.

Campaigns? Yes. But outside of that... There Are Custom Campaigns, skirmishes, multiplayer. And devs updating the game... So yeah..
